A young girl was crying
The door was locked
She could see no light
No ticking of the clock
She has had enough,
That’s what she decided
“Nobody ever cares”, that’s what they said
So she dragged a chair across the room
She released a sigh,
Her heart filled with gloom
She tied a rope to the ceiling above
She could feel no hope, no love
“Nobody cares”, she believed herself to be worthless
She cried to herself, “I’m so useless”
“She doesn’t even have a friend”
That was the last straw, and so she wanted her life to end
She believed their lies and so she tied the rope to her neck
She thought that her life was a complete wreck
She sighed once more,
She was all alone
The room was completely dark
No light shown
She took another step, onto the chair
She cried more tears,
She wanted to die but not now, not here
So she stepped away from the chair
But she slipped under her feet
The wind, caressing her cheeks,
She soon could no longer feel
She opened her mouth to cry a plea
But her eyes were forced to close,
To hide from her tears
Her arms hung limply beside her,
A lone tear slid down her face as she whispered out,
“this death is what I deserve.”
