I'm Me; You Are You

I’m me, you can’t change that.

You’re you, no matter what others think about that.

You are who you are, I am who I am.

Confusing? No matter, I’ll give you another chance.

Black, brown, red or blonde hair

Black, brown, green or blue eyes

No matter how you hide it,

They can never lie.

The twinkle in your eyes that never cease to amaze me,

Show everyone how brave you can be.

The tears you’ve shed, wipe them away.

They only show when you’ve been brave for far too long.

Go find a place where you truly belong.

Are you gay, straight or bi?

Lift yourself up, chest high

That’s how you should be.

Be proud of yourself,

It’s what you are meant to be.

You shouldn’t care of what other people think about you.

Be who you want to be, don’t live behind fantasies.

Dust yourself up, keep your tears in and smile.

Endure the pain; it’s how you were meant to be defined.

Strong, brave and be confident.

Live a life where you can be content.

Bumps and bruises? They always heal,

What matters is what you feel.

You don’t know how great you can be.

You don’t know how strong you are.

You don’t know that you can always be a star.
