Foolish

I'm ashamed, I was fooled.

I was cheated on.

I kissed you,

Next thing I know,

You were gone.

I now cry beside my bed.

Regret kept popping inside my head.

I don't know why you felt lonely.

I was with you every step of the way.

I don't know why you pushed me away.

I gave you everything I had to offer.

You made me feel like we'll always be together.

You made a fool out of me.

You made me realize what I couldn't see.

You were a jerk that would play with my heart.

You were the one who would tear me apart.

You fed me to the wolves.

You pulled me into a lion's den.

I learned my lesson.

I'd never believe your words, never again.

You saw the tears that slid down my face.

You smiled thinking it was all a game.

Well, it was not a game for me.

I was serious.

But with you, I never felt like I was free.

I'm crying right now,

Crying my eyes out.

But no one would ever know.

I hid it deep inside of me.

You never gave me the chance to roll the dice

Now I give up, letting you win the prize.
