Dear father,
Where has the hero gone to?
Why did you change into the villain that hurt me?
Weren’t you the hero that used to love me?
Dear father,
Am I still dear to you?
Hurt me, father
For I am but a child of yours
Hate me, beat me, and lock me behind wooden doors
Hide me from everyone’s sight
Beat me for your satisfaction
I gave up the will to fight these tears
Only you are in my nightmares
Only you are my fear
I’m trembling as I walk inside our used-to-be warm house
I can never call it again my home
For that is where you beat me
To no one is it known
It’s our secret father
For you have forced me to seal my lips
I shake with nervousness
As I watch my trembling fingertips
Father,
Are you still my hero?
Father, oh, father,
Do you still love me so?
