YOUR POV

We kept flying every single day. Today we flew over the tree of souls. I know from the books that this was the Na'vi's most sacred place. As I returned from the avatar, Grace, Norm, Trudy, and Jake were all huddled around the computer. "The tree of souls." Grace marveled, "It's their most sacred place. See the Flux Vortex in these false color images?"

"Yeah, that's what messes up my instruments." Trudy chuckled.

"What's going on here?" I asked.

"Grace is telling us about the Tree of Souls. Jake and Neytiri flew over it today." Norm explained.

"Tsu'tey and I also saw it."

"Anyway, there is something really interesting going on in there biologically. I would die to get samples." Grace said in utter amazement, "Outsiders are strictly forbidden. You lucky ducks."

TSU'TEY'S POV

(Y/N) is now a great hunter. She is very good with the bow, and her Ikran skills are beyond what I had expected for a sky person. We were out hunting up in the mountains, until a shadow cast over us. It was the Toruk. "DIVE!" I screamed as the mighty beast plunged to try and attack us. The Toruk took nips at (Y/N)'s Ikran as we flew into the forest. It followed us through branches and kept biting at our Ikrans. "Follow me!" she called as she flew through some thick vines and trees, creating a barrier between us and Toruk.

The beast gave up on us and left back the way it came. "Heh that was an adventure!" she giggled. I chuckled. She was a really cute and fun woman to hang out with especially when she acted like a small child.

I showed her into the village. We walked a little, toward the center of the circle as a comfortable silence fell over us.  I silently shoved her a little with my shoulder so that she stumbled. Giggling at the sight she whipped me with her tail which got me to shut up. "Look." I sighed as I gestured toward a skull on a stick, "It is Toruk. Last shadow, but you probably know that already."

"Our people call it a Great Leonopteryx." she said.

"Neytiri's grandfather's grandfather, I think, was Toruk Macto. Rider of last shadow."

"He rode this?" she asked in disbelief.

"Toruk chose him. It has only happened five times since the time of the First Songs."

"That's a long time."

"Heh, yes. Toruk Macto was mighty. He had brought the clans together in a time of great sorrow. All Na'vi people know the story."

YOUR POV

The days have been kind of switched around. It felt as though being a Na'vi was my new life and I just was going into my human state. I love this new way of life, and I would be happy if all my days were training with Tsu'tey and chilling with the Na'vi. I'm pretty sure that is the case with Jake too. He seems so happy when he is an avatar and he continues to talk about Neytiri and his Ikran. I can't believe it's only been three months since we have come out here. Well, they do say time flies when you're having fun. "I barely remember my old life. I barely know who I am anymore." Jake tells the video log.

We have now moved back to the large base, and I was walking around, trying to regain my knowledge of the place. There is one more thing to becoming a woman in Na'vi culture, and that was the ceremony.  Once the ceremony has commenced, I will be one of the people.
