Quaritch's Death

(Y/N)'S POV

As I cascaded down from the sky, I herd an explosion. Please put Quaritch out of his misery. I herd the whole ship collapse, but then I saw it. There was an ampsuit outside looking at the wreckage. Oh fuck you Quaritch. He started to walk into the forest. That's when I realized, he was going to our base. Step by step, he got closer. He put up his weapon, but before he could shoot, there was a growl. From behind Quaritch I saw Tsu'tey and Neytiri on the back of a thanator. The thanator pounced on the ampsuit, but failing at it's first attempt to kill Quaritch. It landed back onto it's feet and pounced once more. This time the blow caused Quaritch and the suit to fall, so Tsu'tey had the thanator bashing his weapon to pieces. Before he could attack once again, Quaritch punched the thanator, and when it went to attack again he threw them up against a tree. 

Now Quaritch pulled out a dagger. "Come on. Come to papa." he snarled. Tsu'tey got fed up with this and tried to attack once more. This time though, when he pounced, Quaritch put the dagger through the thanator. The Colonel stabbed it a couple more times before throwing it on the ground trapping Tsu'tey and Neytiri under the weight of the creature. Quaritch stabbed it one more time for good measure before turning to the base once again. 

I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked back to see Jake. We nodded and knew what we had to do. We jumped off of the tree that we were on. "Give it up Quaritch." I said getting his attention.

"It's all over." Jake continued spreading his arms. 

"Nothing's over while I'm breathing." Miles snarled.

"We kinda hoped you'd say that." 

Jake and I charged at the ampsuit, picking up pieces of the destroyed weapon to defend ourselves. Quaritch started to swing at us violently, causing Jake and I to fall a couple times. Quaritch swung at me, missing my neck by an inch. Jake deflected a couple of his blows with his piece of metal. I could tell Quaritch was getting madder by the second, because he now was destroying trees and his swings were getting more violent. Jake managed to get his piece of metal around the dagger, letting it loose. Quaritch started to swing at us with his 'hands' allowing Jake to smash his piece of metal through the glass of the ampsuit. 

Quaritch took a deep breath but then pulled the metal out of the ampsuit. HOW IS THIS GUY NOT DEAD!!!! He threw the metal, but Jake and I ducked down and it hit the window of the base instead. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Neytiri and Tsu'tey still struggling, but they had made some progress. Jake and I kept dodging the punches of Quaritch. I could hear his alarm in his suit going off like crazy but he was still alive and well. Then I could see him move around, before the top of the suit came off, revealing him. 

He pulled a gas mask out and placed it on his face, allowing him to breathe again. I drew my dagger from it's place and glared at him. "Hey Sully, (L/N), how's it feel to betray your own race?" he spat at us. I just hissed back at him. He was not gonna play the guilt card on me. 

"(Y/N), (Y/N), (Y/N). You really think you're one of them?" he asked, then his expression fell dark, "Well it's time to wake up." 

It was at this moment, I knew I fucked up.

Quaritch stomped to our base, before punching the window out. He slammed down on the empty queue, and once he realized that neither of us were in there he moved onto the next one. Before he could do anymore damage Jake and I pounced on top of him, and Jake nailed his dagger into the headrest, missing Quaritch's face by an inch. He grabbed our queues and tossed us off his body, us landing into the forest. 

The lack of oxygen slowly got to me and I started to wake up. I snapped my eyes shut and continued to fight with Quaritch. Jake and I's avatars continued to collapse. With one last breath I sucked in I stayed awake, to see Quaritch's hand come and grab Jake and I's queues. He held us suspended, taking the dagger from the headrest, preparing to slice our throats, but an arrow hit him in the chest. His grip on Jake and I and I saw Neytiri shoot another arrow before I woke up in my link. 

I threw open the lid and raced to get the masks. When I got to the case I realized there was only one. Jake threw his lid open and looked at me. Get Jake the mask. Get Jake the mask. I shoved the mask into his hands before he shoved it back at me. I shoved it to him again, and he shoved it back. I knew that our twenty seconds were almost up, so I shoved the mask onto Jake's face and pressed the button, before falling unconscious.
