i barely got a good amount of sleep last night because my asshole of a neighbor decided to blast music until 2am. 

text from jade

jade: hey you free right now? i wanna go get brunch 
y/n: yeah sure lets eat at that cafe?
jade: meet you there in 30
y/n: ok

text from kairi

kairi: plans for today?
y/n: getting brunch with jade
         then i have the night shift at work
kairi: where you guys eating?
y/n: the cafe 
kairi: i'll stop by later with alejandro and mattia
           i need coffee lmfao
y/n: alr see you later
kairi: ight

i set my phone down and go to get ready for the day.

when i close my door behind me and lock it with my key before heading to the elevator. 

"so how'd you sleep?" 

i turn around and see the guy from last night. "fuck off."

"someone's grumpy," he smiles. 

i flip him off and walk into the elevator.

"how's your new apartment?" jade asks as we sit in the cafe.

"it's really nice actually but my neighbor is annoying as fuck," i whine. 

"why? what happened?"

"he literally blasted music until 2am so i couldnt sleep at all," i explain.

"'he' huh? is he cute?" 

i smile and shake my head. "that's all you care about?"

"well i'm just saying, if you cant beat him, fuck him," she says. 

i chuckle. "he's kinda cute but i'd never let him know that. it'd boost his ego even more."

"well you're kinda stuck with him for a long time, unless you move," says jade.

"i don't wanna move-- let's just hope he's the one who moves."

"just be glad you only have to see him when you're at your apartment," she points out. 

"yeah you're right. oh there's kairi." i wave my hand in the air so that he can spot me. 

"hey y/n, hey jade," kairi smiles. 

"where's alejandro and mattia?" i ask.

"they were outside somewhere-- oh there they are. guys! over here," kairi shouts. 

"who's mattia?" asked jade. 

"some friend who's lived here," i mention. 

"aye what's up y/n, sup jade," alejandro gives us both a side hug. 

"hey y/n this is mattia. mattia, y/n. and that's jade," kairi introduces us. 

i look up and my face immediately drops. "oh you've gotta be kidding me."

"nice to see you again," mattia smirks. 

"oh you two know each other?" kairi asks.

"unfortunately yes.. he's my neighbor.." i mumble. 

"oh he's the neighbor?" jade whispers.

"so you talk about me?" says mattia, still smirking. 

"yeah i was saying how i had a really annoying neighbor who's rude and disrespectful," i smile sarcastically. 

"see kairi," alejandro cuts in, "i told you they'd love each other." 

"i'm gonna go order a coffee," mattia tells us and walks away with alejandro.

"kairi you didn't tell me mattia would such a dick," i said.

"he's not so bad once you get to know him-- i promise."

"he's a basic fuck boy who thinks he can get away with anything just because he's hot." i cross my arms. 

"so you think he's hot huh?" kairi nudges me multiple times. 

"no," i slap his hand away. "im saying he thinks he's hot."

"give him a chance please?" he rubs my shoulder. "i want you guys to get along." 

"fine," i sigh. "i'll tolerate him. for you." 

mattia and alejandro walk back to us with an extra coffee for kairi. 

"thanks," kairi says. "we're gonna dip but i'll see y'all around."

"bye guys," jade and i say in unison. 

jade slaps my arm. "dude mattia is so fucking hot-- the fuck you mean he's 'kinda' cute."

"you can have him," i scoff. 

"no i think i'll let you have him," she grins. 

"i dont want him."

"yes you do, i can see it in your eyes," she points at my eyes with her index finger. 

"jade, i dont like him. he's disrespectful and rude-- why would i want him?"

"your lips are saying one thing, but what does your vagina say when you see him? hm?" she teases. 

"it gets dry," i answer. 

"liar. let me see." she jokingly reaches for private area, making me laugh.

"ew you fucking weirdo," i shout. 

"whatever... i know you're into him."
