Ash~

Another thing about my daughter is that she is severely accident prone, what ever she does and however she does it. She always seems to hurt herself, so it was no surprise when Ali called telling me that Aryn manage to run into a bench so hard that she broke her wrist.

What did surprise me was when Ali called again to tell me my daughter has seized right before surgery and they had to rush her back for an Emergency CT and get her into surgery. That caused me to panic when I tried to rush out the hotel and take one of the cars. Of course, Jill stopped me and forced me to calm down. Then had someone else drive me so now here I am.

Sitting in a private waiting room with the whole team, waiting for the doctor to tell us my daughter is okay.

Which it has been four hours since we last heard from the surgeon and this was not calming my nerves what so ever.

"Family for Aryn Harris?" Doctor Jacobs came in and looked around at all the woman, slightly confused when we all stood up.

"Okay, parent/guardians of Ms. Harris?" That's when I stepped forward, not before pulling Ali along with me while she led us outside.

"So your daughter suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage which caused her seizure. Luckily we were able to repair the damage and we will be monitoring her closely for the next 48 hours. Although we were able to fix that, she did suffer a more blood lose than our average patient during surgery. It seems that Aryn's blood wasn't clotting fast enough." The doctor explain while I felt Ali's hand tighten.

"We did some test and your daughter's test came back negative for any blood disorders. So we went back and looked at her drug tests that we performed." Dr. Jacobs paused for second which slightly annoyed me.

"Is your daughter on any pain medication that we should know of?" She questioned.

I look towards Ali who looks just as confused as me, "No ma'am. She's not on any medication actually."

"Well it seems that your daughter tested positive for oxycodone in her urine. I thought it through and realized that maybe she had been abusing a certain type of the drug that has oxycodone in it with also aceta-"

"Wait. So you are telling me that my daughter is a drug addict?" I questioned way confused at what Dr. Jacobs was trying to get at.

"I am saying that your daughter tested positive for an opioid drug that she seems not to be prescribed and this caused her to lose more blood than usual. But she is okay, it just caused a bit of problems during surgery." Dr. Jacobs explain but the way she said the first part had me thinking.

Is it possible that Aryn was doing drugs? It's not possible right.

But that could also explain her behavior lately.
