Momma, Sadie and I settle on the couch at home as we wait for mom's friendly to come on. Today she plays France and honestly, I always enjoy all my aunties running around on the field.
"Hey Honey, when's your first game?" Momma questions from her part on the couch.
I look up to think for a second, Sadie answering the question for me.
"February 15, at 5. It's a home game," Sadie tells her.
I smile, looking over at Sadie who is leaned against my chest in her Christen Press jersey that I gave her. I have Tierna's jersey on and Momma has Mom's jersey on as we await the game.
"Then Sadie and I will be front row seat for it baby," Momma tells me.
I send her my famous smile before Sadie hushes us as the game begins. We watch the game, the team losing 3 to 1.
Momma walks off to talk to Mom as Sadie and I stay in our same place, my arms holding her tight as we sit here.
"I'm thinking we could go to a game during the Shebelieves cup, determining how they play," I tell Sadie who gives me a smile.
"I really would like that," she tells me."And my Auntie Chrissy would love to meet you by the way," I added.
"Really?" she questions excitedly.
"Yes baby, the team wants to meet the girl who has stolen my heart."
"Hmm, stolen your heart? Impossible," she teases.
"With you it is," I whisper in her ear, kissing it. I feel her shudder against me causing me to laugh as she turns to her side, laying her head on my chest.
"I have an idea," I tell her, pulling her off my chest.
"So we need to work on this bucket list of yours and I found something that my uncle left on accident. I asked if I could use it and he said yes," I explain to her as I get off the couch, "I'll be back."
I take off my shirt and shorts, leaving myself in just boxers and sports bra. I grab the box that Uncle Kyle left and a towel, heading into the living room.
"What are you doing?" Sadie asks confused. I stay quiet as I set the stuff down, grabbing a chair to sit on.
I move some furniture before pulling out some hair clippers from the box.
"No!" Sadie screams, "No, Aryn you're hair is beautiful."
I don't listen though, I grab some shears that Kyle had and then grab one of my braids. Not even thinking twice, I chop it off, holding the braid in front of me.
"Aryn!" Sadie screams, getting up and taking away the shears.
"What is going on in here?" Momma questions confused before she sees what I'm doing.
"Uh- Babe I'm going to have to call you back," Momma says to the phone, hanging up."What do you think you're doing?" She questions, looking between Sadie and I.
I laugh before pulling on the towel, sitting on the chair.
"Sadie is going to give me a hair cut, I want a fade on the side and the top just trimmed please," I demand.I was expecting for Momma to object but she just walks out the room before coming back with an extension cord.
"So it'll be easier to reach," Momma says in support.
"You both have lost your mind," Sadie says between giggles.
She walks over to me with the scissors, she looked afraid which made me laugh.
