Emily's POV
I watched Aryn walk around her room like a chicken with her head cut off. She was excited and nervous about her grand opening of her Center tomorrow. Thus, making her frantic about every little thing.
I laid on her bed, eating some popcorn as she was trying to find the "perfect" outfit but I feel like everything looks perfect on her so I'm not use at the moment.
"Ow!" I yell, grabbing the shirt she threw at me as she stands there in her baggy shirt and sweats with her hand on her hip.
She looked really hot like that.
"You're not helping and quit eating my popcorn!" she snaps at me, snatching the bowl from me and grabbing a handful.
I laugh, amused at the younger woman in front of me.
I grab Aryn by her waist and pull her in between my legs, I kiss her forehead before looking her in her eyes.
"Breath baby, breath," I tell her, trying to calm her down as she does a dramatic deep breath and leans her head against my chest.
"I just want everything to go good tomorrow. I want people to come and I just want to help people babe. I'm nervous," she tells me.
"How did this go in Austin? Where you as nervous as you are now?" I let out with a laugh.
"Noooo," she lets out with a small laugh, "it started off small and unintentional. My first center I created started in a tattoo shop if I'm being honest."
I look at her confused, motioning my hand to have her elaborate.
"Wait-" I tell her to pause before standing up.
"Let me run you a bath so you can relax and you can tell me all about it," I tell her as the biggest smile forms on her face.
"I love you Emily, I really do," she tells me breathlessly, pressing her lips against mine.
I kiss her back with just as much need, going into the bathroom to do what I said I would.
---
I fixed the simple black dress I was wearing, putting on light make-up as Aryn stood behind me doing her own thing.
Her hair was pulled into two French braids, she had on light make-up and her outfit looked flawless on her.
She had on dark jeans, a white button down shirt and a black blazer on. She was also wearing heels, which surprised me the most since she is seven months pregnant and wearing them.
I suggested that maybe she could wear some flats but then she gave me a scary look so I backed off.
I feel Aryn's arm wrap around my waist, she was taller than me since she was wearing heels and laid her chin on my shoulder looking at me in a loving look that she always saves for me.
"You look beautiful Em," she whispers in my ear as I feel my cheeks turn red.
"Thank you baby, you look amazing by the way," I tell her sincerely as she smiles.
We head out the house but taking different vehicles since I had to go pick up some of the girls from the airport that wanted to come out and support Aryn.
Aryn had to go finish the last details and wanted to have a meeting with her staff before they opened today.
I pull up to the airport and smiling when I see my best friend and her soulmate standing there with excitement.
