I walked through the cemetery on Christmas day since it's been something I've always done on Sadie's birthday, even when I was in Austin, I always made time.

I laid down the roses in front of her grave as I sat down.

"Hi Peanut," I mumble, "I miss you like crazy."

"It's kinda crazy in my house this year, there's so many people there and I actually love it," I explain to her.

I like to think she's listening.

"Noah is doing amazing, she's becoming a little chunkers and it's absolutely adorable. Emily is doing good, actually I need some advice," I tell her.

I swear people would think I'm crazy if they saw me right now.

"I may be crazy or maybe it's too soon but I want to marry Emily," I say to the tombstone.

"And I have the ring, I bought it today, it was actually on sale," I tell her before I start to laugh.

"I know, crazy but should I do it? Is it too soon? It's not, right?" I question.

I know I want to marry Emily. I knew it the day of my parents wedding when she stayed with me outside the party to just sway to random music.

"Can you like give me a sign, that maybe I'm doing the sane thing?" I question the air and suddenly I feel a small gust of wind.

Odd.

"I'm taking that as a yes, okay Peanut. Thank you," I start to laugh that I'm asking my dead ex-girlfriend about marrying my girlfriend.

Yeah there's something really wrong with me.

---

I walk through the front door of my house and I could smell something really good through my nose.

Who the hell is cooking?

Walking into the kitchen, I see Kalli who seems to have taken lead.

Of course.

"Seems good prima," I tell her as she smiles.

"Somos De Leon, where do you think you got it from?" she questions, "tu mama no puede concinar." (We are De Leon's; you know your mom can't cook).

I laugh at her, "ain't that the truth."

She laughs as well as I walk into the den where everyone is watching the Grinch.

It's so cute because Noah and Emily are in matching onesies, how did she find them is beyond me but I'm not complaining.

"Is it present time?" Emily questions as I shake my head.

"Not yet baby but can you help me with something, you and Noah?" I question as she nods her head and gets up.

We walk to Noah's room and she sets her down on her changing table as I grab the shirt I wanted to put on her.

"Wait who are you asking to be her Godmothers?" Emily questions excitedly.

"Turn the shirt around," I tell her and she does with a bright smile.

"No way."

"Yes," I tell her.

We put the shirt on Noah and Emily picks her up giving her a kiss before leaning over and giving me a kiss.

"Let's do this."

We walk out together and the movie just ended.

Perfect.
