***Trigger warning ahead: if you are sensitive to certain topics, I would advise you to take caution when reading this chapter.
My paranoia is getting the best of me honestly. Since Uncle Kyle figured out I'm taking those drugs again I feel like he would of told Ali or Mom by now. Yet, they haven't said a word about the drugs in a while.
Is the next shoe going to drop?
I'm honestly not sure but it's constantly on my mind.
Uncle Kyle is leaving back to California and I'm not sure if he would of left without telling someone about my little problem.
Right now though, Hannah is talking my ear off about how it wasn't fair that she was sick and missed the opportunity to be surrounded by nothing but Soccer players at my house two weeks ago.
Sadie and I are doing great as well, she is starting to understand me really well which is scary. Since she's pointed out when I'm acting different out of no where or something. She even can tell when I'm anxious and I think she's starting to catch on my little habit.
"But honestly Keeps, it would be amazing to meet the whole National Team eventually," she told me with a dreamy look.
I can't help but laugh at her, throwing my arm around her shoulder.
"You can just ask and I can take you to their next game or something," I tell her which her face immediately lights up.
"Really? Aryn, that would be awesome! Wait-" she pauses dramatically giving me a look.
"You know I'm not your friend because of who your family is right? Like I could care less if they were," she tells me seriously.
"Yes, Cap., I know and I also know that because you are a really great friend. Plus you have some amazing skills that I know my aunts can help you clean up on. Trust me on that," I tell her sincerely. Hannah's eyes water up causing me to groan before pulling her into a hug.
"No Public Display of Affection!" I hear behind us. Mr. Patterson was standing there with his arms crossed looking at us.
Hannah pulls away, wiping her tears before looking at me adoringly. I walk away, rolling my eyes at the man.
"F-cking creep," I mumble.
"Ms. Harris! Detention with me after school," he snaps. Making my skin grow cold.
This is not going to be good.
"Dammit Aryn, you should of known he would walk behind us. You know how he is. Isn't it weird that he always seems to be around you or following you," Hannah questions causing me to pause.
It's true, he's been basically stalking me at school. Sometimes when I'm in the back of the library with Sadie, he's there pretending to be look at books. At lunch, he monitors the area where I sit. He has sat me at the front of the room in English.
It's disturbing and it's starting to show in my grades with how uncomfortable I'm beginning to feel at school.
I ignore Hannah's comment and go to my first period class, honestly dreading after school.
---
Looking around the courtyard, I can't seem to find Sadie which makes me a bit nervous. I'm paranoid that Mr. Patterson is going to target her since we are dating and everyone knows it.
Walking around, I enter the library and head to our spot where Sadie is sleeping on the bean bag chair. I kneel down in front of her, moving away some lose strands of hair on her face and press my lips against her forehead.
