My eyes fluttered open as I felt a hand constantly run through my hair. I could smell the sweet smell of watermelon and the TV was playing in the background.
My eyes opened and it was not who I was suspecting to be there.
Emily continued to play my hair as she seemed concentrated on the tv.
I furrowed my eyebrows and shifted my body, propping my head up.
Emily turned to look at me, smiling softly as she caressed my face.
"Hi," she lets out, "I came back."
"I can see that," I mumbled, staring at her.
"I wanted to say sorry for walking out," she tells me, still running her hands through my hair.
"What happened to Auntie Kelley?" I question, seeing no sign of her in the house.
"Well she found me in your driveway, debating whether if I should of in or not. So she talked some sense into me and sent me in with this," she says showing me a bowl of watermelon.
I smile, reaching for it as she hands me the bowl.
I take a bite of the sweetness, instantly feeling happy.
"I'm sorry too by the way," I finally let out after eating a few pieces, "I wanted to tell you sooner but I was scared you would leave if you found out."
Emily pauses, still staring at me. The way she stared at me stirred something in me, making me feel warm inside.
I got the strong urge to kiss her and it was getting harder to resist.
"I can't be your friend anymore," Emily tells me and I feel my heart drop as my eyes water.
I'm really going to lose her.
"Wait, don't cry," she tells me immediately, grabbing my face, "I mean I want to be more, I want to be your partner and I don't want to be just anybody to the little human that's in your tums, I don't want to be just Emily. I want to be there for the baby, I want to be help you raise them. I want to be there for you, both of you. I want you both in my life forever. I don't want to be just a friend anymore or just dating, I want more."
I felt awestruck by Emily at this moment and of course, it drives my urge to kiss her even more.
Not knowing what to say and my inability to ever speak my emotions got the best of me.
So I set aside my bowl of watermelon and reached over to Emily. I grabbed the back of her neck, leaning forward, I took my time and observed every detail on her face.
That's when rubbed our noses together, my eyes closing as I could feel her breath against my lips and that's all it took for me to press my lips against hers.
I moved my lips against hers, doing my best to show her what I was feeling. I needed her to know that I felt the same way, that I wanted her the same way she wanted me.
The urge got even stronger and I felt this pull to be even close to her.
I broke the kiss, taking a deep breath as I stared into her eyes. I pushed her softly back, getting off the couch and following her onto the floor. I straddled her hips, leaning in to kiss her again.
Our lips fell into sync and my body was basically pressed against hers. Her hands roamed all over my body and that's when I felt her hands land on my stomach.
Emily's smile broke the kiss as I sat up on her hips, her hands stayed on my stomach as she looked at me with a smile.
"Oh, I bought you something," Emily tells me excitedly, tapping my legs.
