"Listen guys, I know that some of you haven't met my mom. No guys stand next to girls, and no flirting whatsoever. She will question you. Everyone don't be too respectful. She'll think you're on to something." Phoenix instructed as they went to the front door. Eric let go of Quinn's hand, and stood next to Daniel.
"She's kidding. She likes you better when you're in a relationship." Mimi told Eric.
Eric slid back over to Quinn and put his arm around her.
Phoenix punched in a code to the front door and it swung open. "Oh one last thing." Phoenix turned.
"Phoenix come on inside! I want to meet everyone!" Phoenix's mom shouted.
"This is my mom, Sasha." Phoenix presented her mom.
Sasha was wearing blue jeans and a black shirt and her hair was in a messy bun. She looked a little rushed.
"You should've told me that you were coming over." Sasha rubbed her head.
Miguel came downstairs shirtless. "Oh, uh hey guys." Miguel looked around the living room for his shirt.
"This is Miguel. Phoenix, you two have met before." Sasha introduced Miguel.
"Yes. I've had the pleasure." Phoenix gritted her teeth.
"Sasha, have you seen my shirt?" Miguel asked nervously.
"No, check under the bed." Sasha advised.
"Oh, god." Phoenix gagged.
"Sasha, we'll be in Phoenix's room." Mimi led the pack upstairs and to the left onto Phoenix's messy room.
"I see opposite genders! I want nothing to happen up there other than casual conversations!" Sasha called up the stairs.
Kris, Mimi, and Quinn got comfortable on Phoenix's bed while the others stood by the door. Phoenix was in her closet looking for something.
"Eric, Daniel, you can get on the bed. It's not going to hurt you." Kris explained.
"Okay." Eric plopped down next to Quinn.
Daniel looked around the room and took a seat on a swivel chair instead. Quinn jumped off the bed and shut Phoenix's underwear drawer.
"Phoenix, what are you looking for?" Mimi asked.
"These." Phoenix pulled out a wooden crate full of programs from all her shows. "This is all from Wonderlust Theater. Shows that we've done, pictures and videos from those shows. The theater means something to each one of us. To me, the theater means friendship and being with each other makes me happy." Phoenix explained.
"Wonderlust Theater to me means you guys. Going to Wonderlust Restaurant after shows and getting into costume. Making out in the bathroom, and laughing. I'm not going to let my dad shut it down." Quinn gripped Eric and Phoenix's hands.
"No one is." Phoenix grabbed Daniel's hand. Mimi and Kris joined in the circle and it led into a hug.
A couple minutes later everyone was on their phones reading newspaper articles that had been posted online, and searching facts about Wonderlust Theater.
Quinn was typing up a letter to her dad about what Wonderlust Theater meant to everyone, and Eric was writing a petition and had 100 slots that needed to be filled.
Phoenix was pacing back and forth on her phone reading. Daniel was sitting on the edge of Phoenix's bed reading some current articles and about past petitions. Kris was on Instagram looking at memes to post, and Mimi was trying on some of Phoenix's shirts.
"Done." Quinn finished typing and sent it to the printer. Eric had been done a while ago, and read over Quinn's shoulder.
"Wow. That's really good. There's no way your dad can turn that down." Eric kissed Quinn on the cheek.
Phoenix threw her phone across the room. "Whoa, what's wrong?" Daniel asked.
"There's nothing. Nothing about Wonderlust Theater ever being shut down, or if the mayor even has that power. There's absolutely nothing that can help us!" Phoenix collapsed on her bed.
"Maybe the key isn't a "thing." Maybe it's people. Eric wrote a petition. If we get 100 people to sign it, my dad will have no choice but to open the theater up again. I'm sure no one is thrilled about it." Quinn explained.
Just then two cars honked from outside. Phoenix rushed downstairs and saw two cars full of people. Elle ran out from the driver's seat of one car.
"We're here to help!" Elle shouted. Mona jumped out from the other side followed by three other people. Five people jumped out from the car behind them and they all ran into Phoenix's house.
"Okay then. Guess this is a party now." Phoenix closed the door.
"Opposite genders!" Sasha yelled.
