Finally it was Halloween. Wonderlust was known for it.
Mr. Rembarc ordered an entire crew to decorate the town.
There were paper bats hung on banners, scarecrows that popped out at you on corners of random streets, pumpkins hanging from ceilings. It was a great time of the year.
Quinn, Eric, Phoenix, Mimi, and Kris had all decided to go as random people for costumes as long as they would go out together.
Quinn and Eric were dressed up as Fred and Daphne from Scooby Doo. Quinn had a realistic orange wig on her head, and Eric had a blonde one on his. They went all out.
Phoenix had dressed up as a dead little girl, and it looked really realistic. She had spent three hours on it, but kept messing up because she had gotten distracted.
Mimi and Tanner were dressed up as Roger and Mimi from Rent. Everyone felt bad for Tanner because Mimi had made him put eye liner on.
Kris and Crystal dressed up as anime characters that no one recognized until Kris and Crystal had to tell them who they were.
Ram showed up halfway through the night and joined Phoenix.
Overall, it was a really great night.
"So, how much candy did everyone get?" Mimi asked when they had all gathered at Quinn's house.
Quinn had made up with her mom and dad. Since Sasha was her legal guardian, and she died, she decided to make up with her parents to not only ensure that she would have a guardian, but to have a better relationship with them.
"Who cares how much candy we got? That was so much fun. Does anyone have Reece's?" Quinn asked.
"Yeah." Phoenix rustled around in her bag and gave up her Reece's.
"Phoenix, you love Reece's." Quinn pushed it away. "I'll be fine." she laughed.
"Isn't it crazy that a couple days ago, our biggest problem was saving each other from being captured and arresting people? Now, you're biggest problem is not having enough Reece's to survive." Eric kept in a laugh.
"Shut up!" Quinn laughed.
The rest of the night passed by pretty quickly. They all sugar crashed and passed out on various pieces of furniture.
Phoenix tried a Milky Way, and got scared that she would die. That one
piece of candy knocked her out.
"Happy Halloween everyone." Eric laughed as he saw almost everyone fast asleep.
"Thanks." Quinn mumbled. Then she fell asleep.
The next day Mr. Rembarc came into his daughter's room to see eight teens passed out on the floor, the bed, or chairs.
"Good morning everyone! I believe you all have school." Mr. Rembarc announced loudly to wake everyone up.
"What?" Quinn sat straight up in her bed.
"School today!" Mr. Rembarc clapped.
"No. School was cancelled for school meetings." Quinn yawned. Phoenix and Kris started to wake up slowly.
"Oh. Then I don't care what you do." Mr. Rembarc shrugged. He noticed Eric on Quinn's bed. "Stay away from him."
"Will do dad." Quinn nodded.
Mr. Rembarc closed the door to Quinn's room.
"What happened?" Eric asked.
"The usual dad warnings. You have school today, don't go by the boys. Nothing out of the ordinary." Quinn explained.
"Oh yeah, we do have school today." Eric rubbed his eyes.
"Nah. I got us out of it." Quinn smiled.
"Now this is why I love you." Eric grinned.
A couple minutes later everyone was dressed and ready for the day. Crystal didn't want to skip, so she and Kris went to school.
"Losers." Mimi mumbled.
"What do we want to do?" Quinn asked. She was wearing a white sweater with jeans. It was the first time that she hadn't worn a skirt in a month. It was very new for her.
"Maybe we should check out the theater. See how it's holding up." Phoenix suggested. She was wearing a classic Phoenix outfit. Fishnets, shorts on top of the fishnets, and a green shirt.
"Holding up? It's not crumbling down or anything." Mimi pushed past Phoenix. She was wearing a white crop top with black shorts.
Eric was wearing black jeans and a blue shirt that said Beach Day on the front. Tanner was wearing the same thing except his jeans were blue, and his shirt was plain red.
Ram was wearing jeans with a light green shirt. He was wearing Air Force Ones because he was a cool guy.
"Yeah, let's go to the theater." Eric nodded.
So, the six of them went to the theater. It looked as though it had survived all the gunshots, secret tunnels, and hide and seek.
"Looks fine." Ram announced.
"Good. Then, Eric and I have an announcement!" Quinn grinned.
"You're naming the baby after me?" Mimi's eyes got big.
"No. My dad bought the theater the other day, and he gave it to us!" Quinn clapped.
"That's great for you two." Phoenix smiled widely.
"Not just us. I have four people who own the theater. Me, Eric, you, and Kris!" Quinn told Phoenix.
"Yay!" Phoenix cheered.
"Yeah, that's great." Mimi rolled her eyes.
"Mimi, you can work there." Quinn offered.
"I'm in!" Mimi yelled.
The six of them walked further down the road knowing that they wouldn't have to deal with anything serious for a long time. Except for a call from the school asking where they were. Compared to what they had been through recently, they were going to be just fine.
