Quinn and Phoenix sat down on Phoenix's bed. Quinn clasped her hands and waited for Phoenix to talk.
"Truth or dare?" Phoenix asked.
"Dare." Quinn shuffled her feet on the carpet.
"I dare you to go downstairs and tell my mom that you saw Miguel cheating on her." Phoenix snickered into her hands.
"No!" Quinn laughed. Phoenix nudged her to go do it, and Quinn reluctantly went downstairs.
She went into the kitchen where Sasha was sitting on a stool. "Hey Quinn. Good to see you back. Is there anything you need?"
"No I just wanted to tell you something that's been on my mind lately and it has to do with your relationship with Miguel." Quinn rocked back and forth.
"Oh. Is everything okay?" Sasha said cooly as if she knew that everything was okay.
"I saw Miguel with another girl." Quinn blurted and then she ran back upstairs into Phoenix's room.
"Did you do it?" Phoenix asked excitedly.
"Yeah." Quinn laughed. She heard Sasha screaming into her phone at Miguel which just caused them to laugh even more.
"Okay. Truth or dare?" Quinn asked once they were situated.
"Truth." Phoenix replied.
"That stuff that you were talking about with your mom about me. Was it true?" Quinn asked.
"No. Absolutely not. I was mad at you that you didn't forgive and forget but you're still my best friend and I didn't mean a word of what I had said. I promise." Phoenix assured Quinn.
"Okay. You ask me." Quinn stiffened.
"Truth or dare?" Phoenix asked.
"Truth." Quinn gritted her teeth.
"Is it true that you don't have any secrets from me?" Phoenix questioned.
"Uh- yes. Yes!" Quinn lied. She wasn't very good at lying. At least not to Phoenix.
"I don't believe that." Phoenix caught Quinn.
"Maybe one. Or two." Quinn scratched the back of her head.
"Tell me!" Phoenix begged.
"That wasn't the question." Quinn pointed out. Phoenix slumped against her bed.
"Truth or dare?" Quinn laughed.
"Dare." Phoenix muttered.
"I dare you to tell your mom that Miguel is cheating on her with Mimi." Quinn held in a laugh.
Phoenix's eyes widened. "Mimi will have a target on her back!" Phoenix said.
"So?" Quinn raised her eyebrows.
"Fine. I'll do it." Phoenix snickered. She went downstairs to where Sasha was still yelling at Miguel.
"I thought we had something going here! I thought I was your everything! Where did all that go Miguel? Down. The. Drain!" Sasha screamed. She hung up and turned to Phoenix.
"Hey mom." Phoenix stood awkwardly.
"What? Have you come to deliver more bad news?" Sasha tapped her foot.
"Yes actually. Miguel is cheating on you which you know already. He's cheating on you with Mimi." Phoenix tried not to laugh.
"You have got to be kidding me. Mimi? The little girl who can 'dance?'" Sasha did air quotes.
"Yes. Sorry mom. Got to go." Phoenix went up the stairs trying not to burst out laughing. She heard Sasha screaming at Miguel again over the phone.
"Did you do it?" Quinn asked eagerly.
"Mimi?! Are you kidding me?" Sasha roared over the phone.
"Okay. You did it." Quinn laughed hysterically.
"No more messing with my mom for today. She just might kill us when we tell her it's a prank." Phoenix laughed.
"Fair enough." Quinn nodded.
"Truth or dare?" Phoenix asked Quinn. She was secretly hoping that Quinn would pick dare.
"Dare." Quinn answered.
"I dare you to tell me those two secrets that you have hidden from me." Phoenix demanded.
"Oh. Phoenix, they're secrets for a reason." Quinn sighed.
"Yes. I know. Now tell me." Phoenix replied.
"Fine. But you can't be mad at anyone." Quinn added.
"Okay. Fair." Phoenix agreed.
"First of all, Eric and I had been talking about secret plans." Quinn muttered.
"Secret plans? For what?" Phoenix questioned.
"We were going to run away together after the whole baby thing." Quinn couldn't meet Phoenix's eyes.
"You were just going to leave? Without saying goodbye to anyone?" Phoenix repeated.
"Yes. But don't get too mad. The worst is yet to come." Quinn looked away.
"Oh god. What?" Phoenix crossed her fingers behind her back.
"I brought up the idea to my dad to shut down the theater." Quinn admitted hastily.
"Quinn. What? Why? How could you have done that to everyone? To me? To Eric?" Phoenix looked disgusted.
"The theater has always been a safe place for me. But I had to Phoenix. For reasons you wouldn't understand." Quinn explained.
"I don't even want to hear it. One more round of truth or dare." Phoenix gritted her teeth.
"Truth or dare?" Quinn asked quietly.
"Truth." Phoenix snapped.
"Is it true that you hate me right now?" Quinn asked.
"Yes. But not as much as you'll hate me." Phoenix warned Quinn.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Quinn asked anxiously.
"Truth or dare Quinn?" Phoenix asked.
"Dare." Quinn didn't want to answer any questions.
"I dare you to break up with Eric." Phoenix declared.
"No way." Quinn shook her head.
"You're deciding. Him or me." Phoenix raised her eyebrows.
Quinn sat there in silence. "I can't choose." she decided.
"Well you're going to have to. Or I'll make the decision easier for you." Phoenix picked up her phone.
"No!" Quinn shouted. "No. Phoenix let me explain what happened with the theater first. We were all in serious danger that not even Eric knows about. Please." Quinn explained.
"Quinn I don't want to do this." Phoenix shook her head as she was about to call Eric.
"Then don't. Let me explain and then if you're not satisfied with my story, you can call him." Quinn fought back tears.
"Fine." Phoenix put her phone back into her pocket.
"Not here. Not while your mom's in the house." Quinn shook her head.
"Okay then. Eric's house. You're explaining to him too." Phoenix walked out her door.
Quinn sighed and walked out after her.
