"What was that?" Sasha screamed as they went down the steps to the basement.

"We'll explain later Sasha. How are we gonna get out of here?" Quinn asked. The room had no doors except for the one which they had just went through.

"Here." Phoenix picked up a rug and threw it aside. She unlatched a secret door that had a ladder directly below it.

"I'll go first." Quinn volunteered.

"No way." Eric went down the ladder. He called back up, "Everything's fine down here!"

"Phoenix go." Quinn held the door open for Phoenix. She went down as Alice started to open the door of the basement.

"Sasha go quick!" Quinn practically pushed Sasha down the ladder, and she barely made it down before Alice had reached the bottom step.

The rug flopped back over the hidden door.

"Where does this lead?" Eric put the flashlight on from his phone and a narrow hallway was all they could see.

"I think it leads to your house Eric." Sasha replied.

"What?" Quinn and Eric said at the same time.

"Yeah. The people who used to live in those old houses made a tunnel to connect the houses that way they would always be united." Phoenix explained.

"Creepy." Quinn shuddered. They started to walk down the hallway two by two.

Quinn wanted to talk to Phoenix, but that meant that Eric would have to walk with Sasha. She spared them both.

"How are you?" Eric asked. They were ahead of Sasha and Phoenix. Phoenix had her flashlight out.

"Exhausted." Quinn yawned on cue.

"I could understand that. Do you really think that Alice and Billy took all of the people that were supposed to be here?" Eric asked.

"Yes. I feel so bad. So many people have already been kidnapped in this town and now a whole herd of them have been." Quinn shook her head.

"Well then we need to fix this place up." Eric told Quinn.

"Why us?" Quinn asked.

"For our kid." Eric grinned.

"I'm miserable." Sasha groaned. Quinn and Eric stifled a laugh. She had been complaining ever since they started walking.

"Why are you miserable this time?" Phoenix rolled her eyes.

"We're walking down a narrow passageway that leads to that ruffian's house, and I missed lunch!" Sasha barked.

"Maybe you should try being grateful." Phoenix suggested.

"Grateful for what?" Sasha snapped. "Like I said, no food, and walking do not mix!"

"For being alive. Like it or not, we saved you from being potentially kidnapped and tortured by two teenagers." Phoenix said.

"Ugh." Sasha rolled her eyes. They continued to walk for what felt like hours.

Quinn was the only one who wasn't irritable. Eric's head kept hitting the low ceiling, and Phoenix had to listen to Sasha's remarks every five seconds.

"Guys I see another door!" Quinn let go of Eric's hand and ran up to it.

"Finally!" Sasha yelled.

Eric boosted Quinn up so that she could unlock the door on the ceiling.

"Got it." Quinn unlatched it, and heaved herself up. She helped Phoenix up next, and then Sasha. Eric climbed in last and shut the door behind him.

"I'm in my basement?" Eric looked around.

"Yeah." Quinn nodded.

"Good memories in here." Eric looked at a couch.

Quinn blushed and looked away.

Eric picked up a cabinet and put it on the door for good measure.

"Now what?" Phoenix asked.

"Now we eat." Eric sighed. He led them all upstairs into his living room. Him and Quinn went into the kitchen to start making some stuff.

"I could've done this on my own." Quinn raised her eyebrows at Eric as she looked at the ingredients on a Kraft Mac and Cheese box.

"I know. But I still want to help." Eric grabbed milk and butter from the fridge.

"What are we going to do?" Quinn sank to the floor.

"Whoa, what do you mean?" Eric made sure she was alright and then sat down next to her.

"About the baby." Quinn rolled her eyes. It should've been obvious.

"We're keeping it, right?" Eric asked wide eyed.

"Yes! Yes." Quinn nodded. "I mean, supporting ourselves, seeing each other all the time, and financial problems."

"Quinn, we're a dream team. What could we possibly worry about?" Eric asked.

"I don't know. I can't help feeling nervous." Quinn sighed.

"I know. But we'll be fine. We still have a while before we need to worry about that. I promise that everything will be fine." Eric squeezed her hand.

"Thanks. Now let's make some Mac and Cheese." Quinn got up with Eric's help even though she didn't need it. Yet.

Everyone ate in silence that night thinking about what might be coming.

Eric was by far the most worried. He had two people to protect. Quinn and their baby. Sasha was the most confused. She had no idea what was going on and she was annoyed that she couldn't eat the Mac and Cheese because she was a vegan. Phoenix had no idea what was coming and she was overcome with emotions. She wanted to protect her friends, but she also still had feelings for Daniel and she wanted to find him before anyone else did. Quinn was scared but she was the one making the jokes trying to hey everyone to be happy.

"Listen guys, we can't just fall apart. I won't let it happen. We need to work together. Like a family. We are a family." Quinn broke the silence.

"I agree." Sasha nodded.

"What?" Eric, Phoenix, and Quinn stared at Sasha.

"Well I don't want to die. Not when my last meal could be potential Mac and Cheese." Sasha shook her head.

"No wonder." Phoenix rolled her eyes.
