Not one of Quinn and Phoenix's friends had been found in days.
Sasha, Eric, Quinn, and Phoenix had been camping out in Eric's house for five days now. Everyone had agreed that it had been way too long in that house.
Phoenix was the one going out to the grocery store because she was the fastest other than Eric, and Sasha insisted they keep Eric with her at all times because he could keep herself safe.
"When is Phoenix going to get back?" Quinn asked. The sky was dark outside and Phoenix had been gone for two hours. Way too long.
"She's never taken more than one hour before." Eric shook his head. He looked out the window but no one was there.
"We should go look for her. What if she was taken again by Daniel or Alice? We need to go find her." Quinn stood up. She had been sitting all day due to Eric's commands.
"No. I'll go." Eric insisted.
"Isn't she my daughter?" Sasha asked.
"You could care less what happened to her." Quinn rolled her eyes.
"Excuse me?" Sasha stood up also.
"Hormones." Eric explained. Quinn gave him a dirty look.
Just then Phoenix burst through the door holding two people by their shirts.
"Billy and Alice?" Eric closed the door quickly behind them.
"They were tailing me at the store so I decided to take them here." Phoenix shrugged.
"How did you manage to take on two grown people in a grocery store?" Sasha asked.
"I'm fore feisty than I look." Phoenix threw Billy and Alice to the ground.
"Agreed." Quinn smiled at Phoenix.
"What the hell do you want from us?" Billy asked frantically.
"Oh shut up guinea pig." Quinn rolled her eyes. Eric stifled a laugh.
"But seriously. What could you possibly want from us?" Alice asked.
"Answers." Phoenix crossed her arms.
"Answers about what exactly?" Alice raised her eyebrows.
"Where's Daniel and why are you out to get us?" Quinn questioned.
"We have no idea where Daniel is." Billy sneered.
"As for why we're after you... that's a secret." Alice grinned wickedly.
"Where do we keep them until they decide to talk?" Eric asked.
"The basement?" Phoenix suggested.
"Or my room." Eric added.
"The basement. There's less ways to escape." Quinn decided.
"Okay but we're going to make sure that the other secret exit is sealed." Eric winked at Quinn in the most obnoxious way possible.
"Got it." Quinn nodded sarcastically.
A couple minutes later, Alice and Billy were tied up in the basement on the floor. Everyone was taking shifts to watch them to make sure they didn't try to escape.
Eric had insisted on helping Quinn with her shift.
"It's only to keep you safe. You could be a target." Eric explained as they headed into the basement together.
"How could I be a target? Everyone here is." Quinn pointed out.
"Okay, but you're at a disadvantage." Eric and Quinn sat on the couch in the basement and ignored the glares they were getting from Alice and Billy.
"Disadvantage? Come on." Quinn rolled her eyes.
"Why are you keeping us here?" Alice roared.
"I thought we've told you this a million times. We want to get any necessary information out of you that way we could use it to help us." Quinn explained.
"We don't know anything." Alice replied angrily.
"Yes we do." Billy muttered.
"What was that?" Eric stood up.
"Billy shut your god damn mouth." Alice warned him.
"You guys know something." Quinn stood up too.
"Yes we do! And I'm not going to let myself get captured for withholding information!" Billy yelled.
"Tell us and we'll let you go." Quinn swallowed.
"Daniel kidnapped all of your friends. They're out in the forest behind the theater. Daniel doesn't want you guys to get in the way, so he sent us to make sure that Phoenix or any of you were getting to close to finding out his secret. He's armed. And he wants to kill one of you." Billy rambled.
"One of us? As in just one?" Quinn raised her eyebrows.
"Yes. Just the one." Billy gulped.
"Who is it?" Eric asked. Alice stared warily at the wall.
"It's Phoenix isn't it?" Quinn asked.
"No. It's Eric." Alice interrupted.
"What?" Billy questioned.
"It's Eric. He thinks that Eric is the muscle of the group, so he wants to get rid of you." Alice cut Billy off.
"That's not true! He's after Phoenix!" Billy screamed.
"Why are both of you willing to help us but you're telling different stories?" Quinn asked.
"You have to trust me." Billy blinked.
Sasha came downstairs. "Your shift is over. Phoenix told me that it's my turn to watch the brats."
Eric and Quinn reluctantly left the basement and sat upstairs to talk with Phoenix about everything that Billy and Alice had told them.
"But that's impossible. Daniel in the woods work our friends could be believable, but killing one of us doesn't seem right." Phoenix shook her head.
"Exactly. And you and Eric are two very different people. You look nothing alike, you have different talents, and you have nothing in common." Quinn pointed out.
"Except for you." Phoenix said.
"Maybe that's it." Eric stood up from the table.
"Maybe what's it?" Quinn asked.
"Maybe it's a riddle. Telling us about me and Phoenix. The one thing that we have in common is you. What if that means that Daniel's trying to kill you?" Eric asked.
"Why would we want to kill me and not any of you?" Quinn pointed out.
"You're kinda the brains of the group Quinn." Phoenix smiled.
"I think that we should all keep an eye on each other." Quinn suggested.
There was a loud noise from the basement. Quinn and Phoenix leapt out of their chairs and followed Eric to the basement quickly.
Ropes littered the ground and Alice and Billy were gone.
Even more tragic, Sasha's dead body was lying on the ground with a knife sticking out of her neck.
