"No. Daniel doesn't care about my nails." Phoenix protested.
"I bet he will when you show him your manicure." Mimi argued over the phone.
"No." Phoenix shook her head.
"Fine. Ask Quinn if she wants to come." Mimi sighed.
"Quinn are you interested in going with Mimi to the-."
"Nope!" Quinn shouted from the kitchen.
"She said that she has plans with Eric." Phoenix lied.
"Oh." Mimi nodded. "Well then I'll just have to go with Kris."
"That'll be fun for you guys. You never hang out." Phoenix encouraged.
"Yeah." Mimi lied. The truth was, Mimi and Kris had been hanging out non-stop. Mimi liked to call it unofficial dating. Kris liked to call it friends with benefits.
"Okay. I'll just go with her. Bye." Mimi hung up. Phoenix shrugged.
Kris was sitting next to Mimi. "Guess it's just me and you going." Mimi shrugged.
"I'm okay with that." Kris nodded.
"Wow. I never thought I'd be a lesbian." Mimi raised her eyebrows.
"You're not. I'm a friend. We just have benefits." Kris kissed Mimi.
"Maybe we should just surprise Mimi and Kris and meet them at the nail salon. I feel bad." Phoenix told Quinn as she came downstairs.
"No. Mimi completely overstepped her boundaries with both Eric and Daniel. As far as I'm concerned, I'm not in a rush to talk to her anytime soon." Quinn leaned against the counter.
"True. And I don't blame you for that. But I forgive her. She was lonely, and she just wanted a boyfriend. I forgive her. And I'm going to the nail salon with her but it's your choice if you want to come or not." Phoenix put her hands on her hips.
"Fine I'll go. But I'm only talking to you and Kris." Quinn crossed her arms.
"Fine." Phoenix sighed.
Phoenix went up to her mom's room a couple minutes later.
"What's up?" Sasha questioned.
"I don't understand why Quinn just can't let go of the past. She keeps holding grudges against people. And, Mimi did something wrong. But, I forgave her. Why can't Quinn?" Phoenix wondered aloud.
"Quinn is different than you. Yes, you're both stubborn. But, Quinn can't let things go. Which is why I wanted to "adopt her." Maybe I can make her see things our way. To make sure that Quinn will be okay and make sure that she learns how to behave herself." Sasha explained.
"Okay." Phoenix nodded. Quinn was standing outside of the door with her ear pressed against it, hearing every word that they were saying.
When Phoenix and Sasha came out of Sasha's room, Quinn was gone.
"Quinn?" Phoenix called.
No answer. Phoenix looked in all the rooms of the house, and Quinn was gone. Including all of her stuff.
Phoenix called Quinn several times, but there was no answer.
Quinn was running with her suitcase towards Eric's house. She knocked on Eric's front door and Eric opened it. Quinn was panting obviously from running.
"Hey Quinn. What's up?" Eric closed the door behind him and they sat on his front step.
"I ran." Quinn turned to Eric.
"From where? Why did you run? Are you okay?" Eric panicked.
"I'm fine. It was Phoenix. I ran from her house. Sasha and Phoenix. They only adopted me because Sasha wanted to change my attitude. I didn't know where else to go." Quinn panted.
"You can always come here. I'm sorry about what happened. Do you need a place to stay?" Eric gestured to his house.
"What about your parents?" Quinn bit her nails.
"They're away on a business trip for three weeks. That should be enough time for you to figure out what you want to do." Eric patted her hand.
"Thank you." Quinn put her head on his shoulder. She saw Phoenix walking with her mom in the distance and Eric ushered her into his house and closed the door just in time.
Phoenix walked up to Eric's house and knocked three times on the door.
Eric opened it.
"Hi. You haven't seen Quinn by any chance have you? She ran away. I did something kind of wrong." Phoenix wrung her hands.
"No. I haven't seen her. If she stops by I'll let you know." Eric smiled.
"Great. Thanks." Phoenix smiled awkwardly, and walked down the steps.
"What did she want?" Quinn asked when Eric shut the door.
"She wanted to know if I've seen you." Eric said.
"Oh." Quinn sighed.
"Let me show you where you can sleep. I'll give you my room. It's bigger than the guest room." Eric explained.
"No that's okay. I don't want to take your room. I'd feel too weird." Quinn shook her head.
"If that's what you want. But I don't really care. I just want you to be comfortable." Eric grinned.
"I'm fine with the guest room." Quinn assured Eric.
"I have an air mattress. You take my bed and I'll sleep on the air mattress." Eric suggested.
"Are you sure?" Quinn asked.
"Yes. I'll be okay." Eric laughed.
So, Quinn was now living at Eric's house with Sasha still as her legal guardian. Phoenix was worried as ever trying to find Quinn scared that she heard her and her mom, or that she was kidnapped.
Eric and Quinn were living their best lives until someone stopped by the next day.
