"I'll stay in the forest to keep an eye on Daniel. I have to stay with Eric anyway." Quinn volunteered.
"Okay. Just be careful." Phoenix eyed Daniel warily.
"I got it." Quinn assured her.
Phoenix, Mimi, and Kris left Quinn sitting on the forest floor with a cage full of friends, and Eric on the floor.
A couple minutes later, Eric opened his eyes.
"Quinn?" Eric looked around.
"I'm here. I'm here don't worry." Quinn assured Eric.
"What's going on?" Eric sat up.
"Sit back. You were knocked out, and then Phoenix and the rest of them went to go get some help to get our friends out of the cage." Quinn explained.
"Are you okay?" Eric asked groggily.
"Me? I'm fine. Really. Are you?" Quinn grabbed Eric's hand.
"Whoa. Hold on any tighter, will you?" Eric laughed.
"Oh. Whoops." Quinn loosened her grip. "But are you okay?"
"I'm fine. A little drowsy, but fine." Eric said.
"Okay. They should be back any minute now. Phoenix just needed to get some bolt cutters." Quinn told Eric.
"Whoa. Bolt cutters?" Eric asked suspiciously.
"Yeah. The cage. It has no lock or anything, so no one has any idea how anyone could've gotten in there, but we just need to get them out." Quinn explained.
"Oh. Yeah." Eric nodded.
"Obviously, we'll probably leave Daniel in there and let the police handle it, but for now we have some-."
"Quinn, watch out!" Eric pushed Quinn away from him.
Alice had just thrown a rock their way. Quinn got to her feet and stood in front of Eric who still wasn't capable of getting up.
"Brave girl, aren't you?" Alice laughed.
"Quinn, run!" Eric tried to get up.
"Yeah Quinn, run. Run, and then I only have to kill your little boyfriend." Alice giggled mechanically.
"No thanks." Quinn clenched her fists. She had no idea what she was doing, but she had a goal. Kill Alice, save Eric. Easy.
"What are you going to do, huh?" Alice asked.
Quinn was asking herself the same question. What could she do? Run at a girl who's a foot taller than her, and who also happens to have a weapon? It was a stupid idea.
She charged.
Alice was caught by surprise. Quinn barreled into her, and the rock was thrown out of Alice's hand.
Quinn got back up to her feet. Alice pushed her down, and Quinn got a kick to the face. Nice.
Quinn yelped out in pain, and rolled over to avoid a rock that Alice had thrown.
Alice grabbed Quinn by the hair and pushed her onto her knees. "Any last words?" Alice questioned.
"Yeah. Where are you getting all of those rocks?" Quinn asked sarcastically.
Alice made a face. Quinn kneed Alice in the ankle which shouldn't have hurt, but Alice doubled over.
Quinn grabbed one of the rocks that Alice had thrown at her, and held it over Alice's head.
