"The couples that are meant to be, are the ones who go through everything that is meant to tear them apart, and come out even stronger"

————————————————————————

"I can't have kids," Camila broke down to the ground, hugging herself as she cried.

Shawn was shocked. They've wanted kids for so long. He has always wanted to be a father and he always wanted Camila to be the mother of his children but now they couldn't even do that. Would this tear the engaged couple apart?

"Shawn, p-please say something," she mumbled into her hands, "I need some air," he left. Okay, Shawn was definitely an idiot, he knew that. Why would he walk out instead of consoling her.

She sat on the couch, her hands tucked under her chin. Her sobbing had calmed down and she waited for him. She didn't want this to affect their relationship.

She heard the door creek open and her head immediately shot up. "Camila, we can get through this. I-I love you, we can get a second opinion-" "that was my second opinion," she yelled, not meaning to but she couldn't bare to hear him say that it was okay. "Oh," his breathing hitched. "Yeah so what the hell are we doing!" She started pacing around the room.

He could feel that there was a chance he'd lose her but he couldn't let that happen, "there's other options!" He gripped her shoulders to stop pacing, "do you really want that?" She cried, gripping his shirt, tightly. "I don't want anything if it doesn't involve you," he whispered, resting his forehead on hers, "we'll get through this together," he chastely kissed her lips. Camila knew that everything was going to be okay.

"Alex, it's time for dinner!" The cuban called out to her six year old son. That's right, son. "It smells good, baby," she felt a pair of arms wrap around her waist as small kisses were planted on her neck, "okay, go sit down you goof."

"Dada, can you help me?" Shawn laughed and kissed his son's head, rummaging with his hair before helping him cut up his dinner. Her heart swelled, watching the pairs interaction.

After a long talk and a marriage later, they moved their option to adopting. The 2 year old caught their eyes. They fostered him for awhile and they were in love with the little boy so they adopted him. He knows that and they were as happy as ever.

"I'll put away the dishes, love," he kissed her head as he walked around the table, gathering all the dirty dishes. "Thank you, hun."

"Alex, you want to come play with me?" Camila held her hand out for her small boy, "yes, mama!" He smiled, jumping into his mother's arms. Shawn listened to the laughter that was going on in the kitchen of his two loves. He finished the dishes and walked over to the two, tackling them with hugs and kisses, "oh, my, god, Shawn! S-stop!" She said between laughs. Her laugh matched Alex's.

"I'm tired," Alex squirmed away from the two after what felt like days of fun, "okay buddy, let's get you ready for bed," Shawn put him on his back as he started to bring them upstairs, "I'll be there in a second." Camila cooed, holding her phone close to her chest. She saw how Shawn blew her a kiss, "goodnight mama, I love you," Alex gave her a kiss on the cheek which Camila returned, "I love you, mi amor," she whispered. She waited for them to return upstairs so that she could take the call that's been haunting her all day.

Her phone rang for ages before she received an answer, "Mrs. Mendes! So glad that you finally called! Are you ready for the results?" Camila's breath hitched. These results could either go really good or really bad, no in between. "You're pregnant!" She cheered into the phone and Camila fell to the ground like the first time she did when she heard she couldn't have children. "Thank you Dr.Rosa, I'll call you in the morning, bye."

She broke down on the ground and held her stomach, rubbing it slowly, cooing at the baby in her stomach, "Camila! What's wrong?" Shawn ran over to her, kneeling down to her level. She didn't say a word, the only thing escaping her lips were whimpers but that soon stopped and a smile crept upon her lips. She saw the confusion in her husband's face, "I-I'm pregnant," she hugged him as she heard a relieved sigh release from his throat.

"Oh my god," he whispered, tears in his eyes. She couldn't believe it either. He knelt down to her stomach and kissed it, "are you sure?" He looked up at her making sure that it wasn't some sick and cruel prank she was playing on him. He loved jokes and played pranks on her all the time but never this bad, "yes, I'm sure!" She hugged him, tightly, kissing his face.

"This is how I knew we were meant to be, we've gone through so much and we come back stronger, every time," he whispered into her ear, kissing it.
