They've been dating for a little over six months and Camila had yet to meet Shawn's friends. It wasn't that he didn't want them to meet her. It was just that he knew that they'd never like her. There was nothing wrong with her. In Shawn's eyes, she was absolutely perfect. She was an angel dropped down from heaven specifically just for him and him only. The only thing was that his friends weren't exactly committed to relationships. They were the exact opposite; noncommittal. And Shawn used to think that he was noncommittal too but that all changed when he met Camila at a local music store downtown.

She was nothing like any of the other girls he hooked up with before. In fact, he didn't even hookup with Camila on the first day they met. There was something about her that was so innocent and endearing that he didn't want to mess things up by making a mockery out of himself by flirting with her. Besides the flirtatious banter and the constant compliments, nothing along the lines of 'hooking up' came about but oddly enough, Shawn was okay with that and all he really wanted was to get to know the real her as she wanted the same for him. He's never felt so close to her and so attached. She was his other half and he never knew that he could feel like this before. When she was near, all he could ever do was smile. She was the most gorgeous girl he's ever laid eyes on and he couldn't ever imagine his life without her. He didn't want to.

So here they were at a local club in downtown Toronto with Shawn's closest friends with Camila who didn't even know the names of his so called 'friends'. After months of begging, she was finally going to be meeting the friends that Shawn went out with on Thursday nights after work. Though, Shawn was nervous but he'd never let Camila or any of his friends know that. He was scared of what they'd say to or about Camila. She was so innocent and pure that she didn't deserve to be embarrassed by any of them. Don't get Shawn wrong, he loved Camila but he wanted to protect her from his insensitive friends tonight. Shawn was never the sensitive type and he never cared too much about feelings as neither did his friends and that's why they got along so well but Camila had completely changed him in the best way possible but Shawn was still insecure. He was insecure that he'd ever lose Camila to someone better than him and he was insecure that his friends would drop him in a heartbeat if they found out the new and evolved person he had become was because of a girl.

"Who's your friend tonight, Mendes?" Brian asked smugly. Shawn scowled slightly as he knew that his friends were most definitely thinking that she was someone he pulled out from some random place and that after a few drinks, they'd end up at his place. That wasn't the case but they didn't know that.

"This is Camila." Shawn introduced her with no emotion in particular.

Camila was uncertain of how Shawn was feeling all night long. On the way over to the club, he was so clingy and he showed her love every second and held onto her hand or her waist until they reached the inside of the club where he let go of her completely as she just trailed behind him.

"Hi!" She cheered, "I'm Shawn's girlf-"

"She's just a friend." Shawn said almost immediately with a blank expression plastered on his face. He didn't even look over at Camila. He couldn't. He didn't want to see the broken he could've caused or the disappointed look on her face.

"I didn't think she was your girlfriend." Connor scoffed as he laughed it off with Brian and Justin. Shawn gulped. Camila was in uttered shock. Her own boyfriend didn't even want his friends knowing that they were together. Her heart completely shattered into pieces but she couldn't cry or leave now. She wasn't a coward. Shawn was possessive but he was a lover not a fighter around her and she knew that this could quite possibly be an act around his fiends but that didn't make it okay nonetheless. If he didn't want them together in front of his friends then why be together at all?

"Yeah, you're way out of her league." Brian commented and was joined by the laughs of the others as Shawn could feel the tension that could be cut with a knife. He hated how they said things like that as Shawn knew just how beautiful and pure she was. He hated that he knew how horrible he was making his girlfriend feel but he couldn't help himself.

"Right." Shawn muttered slowly, taking a seat next to Brian and Camila followed after him with a look of disgust on her angelic face.

"Alright." Camila huffed, standing up shortly after listening to the conversation the guys were having about how big they were or the girl the knocked up a few weeks prior. It made Camila uncomfortable and she was still angry at Shawn. She caught everyone's attention as Shawn's eyes diverted to her standing figure in her small black dress. She looked divine tonight just like every other day and night and all he wanted to do was show her off but he couldn't. Well, he could. He just swallowed his pride instead.

"I'm gonna go meet some guys." She shrugged, moving to leave before her wrist was captured in larger hands as she spun and was met with a hard chest.

"Why? That's not a very good idea-"

"Why isn't it a good idea?" She fought back, jerking her hand away from Shawn. He pinched the bridge of his nose, hissing. "Because-"

"What? I'm single and what better way to meet some guys than to go flirt with some myself? I see a pretty handsome man over there right now-"

Shawn captured her wrists, slamming her against a nearby wall not giving a fuck about who was watching. His front pressed up against hers as his jaw clenched. The thought of another man being with her made his heart physically ache and he couldn't bare witnessing it as he needed to stop it from even happening. He knew that this was all his fault and he knew that he had to made things right but first he needed to make sure that everyone here knew that she was his and that no one else could have her no matter what he or she said.

He brought his head down closer to her lips as they brushed against one another's. "You're mine." He yelled, "mine." He then whispered. Shivers coursed through her body as his lips made sudden contact with her jaw. "God... if you think..." he laughed, shaking his head, his grip now on her slim waist, "... if you think that I'm going to let some other guy put his hands on you... then you have another thing coming, baby." His voice was low and husky which almost made Camila's knees give out.

She fluttered her eyelashes and looked up at him, biting down on her lip. "But we're just friends." She said innocently.

He groaned, "no." He shook his head at her. "No. You're mine. You're my girlfriend. Mine!" He made it clear as he marked his territory with a purple bite on her neck that caused her to whimper.

"You understand, baby?" He whispered, his lips so close to touching hers.

She nodded before colliding their lips in a passionate kiss that didn't take long to become heated. She pulled away from him, "can we go home?"

"Yes we can." He said breathlessly, shamelessly grazing his hand over her ass. "Boys," he turned to his friends.

"I'm gonna head home with my girl." Shawn said clearly which left the boys in shock before they all nodded slowly as Shawn turned to his beloved girlfriend with a firm grip on her waist keeping them close.

"I love you... I'm never letting you go." He whispered into her ear before kissing it. "I love you too."

"By the way," he smirked, "you look damn fine in that dress."
