Watching her walk away from him made him feel sick to his stomach. This wasn't fair. It wasn't fair that he couldn't be happy. He wanted nothing more than her. Not even music.

He was especially angry at him label and the rest of his team. They couldn't let him be happy and they didn't understand that she was his everything and he genuinely couldn't live without her - even if he wanted to, which he didn't.

He wanted to cry but he couldn't yet. He had to remember that he was still at an award show and paparazzi couldn't see him so upset.

Shawn walked back to his seat and he saw the side eyed look that Andrew gave him - he was clearly suspicious but at the moment, Shawn was too heartbroken to even care.

"Shawn...what's wrong with you?" Andrew whispered into his ear, his eyes still on the brightly lit stage. Shawn groaned, throwing his head back, "my first breakup was fake," Shawn sighed, looking at the shock on Andrew's face. "She just broke up with me...for real and it's all your fault." A tear fell from Shawn's eye but he quickly wiped it away.

He knew that he left Andrew speechless but he truly didn't care.

The thought that just came popped into Shawn's mind was crazy. He knew that he would definitely eat in trouble with his team and label if he did what he was certainly about to do.

"I'm sorry, Andrew." Shawn quickly spat before standing up and making his way to the stage. He felt Andrew yank at his arm and Shawn jerked his head towards him, "Shawn what do you think you're doing?" His voice was stern and angry.

Shawn pulled away and smirked, "I have to do this."

He made his way to the stage and everyone was certainly shocked but that didn't stop the crowd from applauding because everyone loved them some Shawn Mendes. He took a look at Camila who had a look of terror on her face but it softened when he smiled at her.

One of the two hosts on stage laughed, awkwardly before weirdly introducing him - although he definitely didn't need one.

He apologized before gesturing for the microphone which they complied with, handing him the microphone.

He cleared his throat into the microphone before walking to the edge of the stage that was near Camila. He gave her a quick smile before looking around the big room that was filled with people.

"I know that this is a little weird," he awkwardly laugh but he received genuine laughter from the crowd. A weight was lifted off of his shoulders when he saw Camila giggling, looking straight at him.

"but I can't hide it anymore...I'm dating someone - someone so beautiful and genuine. She is extremely talented and I love everything about her," he chuckled, nervously before turning towards Camila.

He couldn't hear the roaring crowd. He didn't hear the voices that replayed in his head of his team that warned him that he'd be dropped. He didn't care - he didn't need to.

"Camila, I love you. I'm not letting anyone take you away from me," he whispered into the microphone. His smile never disappeared.

"I love you too, Shawn!" She stood up from her seat and made her way towards the stage.

She smiled at him softly before wrapping her arms, tightly around his neck. Her body tingled under his touch on her waist.

She didn't wait any longer before smashing her lips onto his. It hasn't even been an hour since she broke up with him and she missed his touch.

They pulled away, breathless. They stood there, wrapped around each other - staring deeply into one another. It was as if their souls were doing the talking.

She felt like the crowd could hear how loud her heart was beating. "Let's get out of here," he whispered into her ear before she giggled and pulled him off the stage with her.

They had no care in the world that people were silently judging them or that tonight could've possibly been the last time he was on a stage like that.

She jumped and swayed to the beat of Shawn's song as the drums roared. She turned to her best friend, Taylor who was singing along to his hit 'If I Can't Have You.'

She was so proud of him, for everything. He made it. His career continued on and now he was in a sold out arena in the country he adored singing his one of many hit songs with his girlfriend that he loved, cheering him on.

They didn't need anyone's approval and that's all they ever wanted.

They were happy and people knew that.

Everyone knew that they were together and they wouldn't trade it for the world.

The kind of love they had was special. Nothing, not even a career he worked so hard for, could tear him away from her.
