You're So Classic

"So...there's this girl." Shawn finally broke and told his best friend of ten years what has been on his mind. Her eyes lit up and she dropped her pencil. Currently, they were at her house, studying for an upcoming history test that they'd both be participating in. "Really? Who's the unlucky girl?" She smirked at him, earning a slight shove at her shoulder.

He rolled his eyes, "that's not important." She pouted and crossed her arms, causing Shawn to laugh. "Anyways...I don't know how to tell her how I feel about her." He groaned. She snapped her fingers and jumped on top of him, shaking his shoulders, "I got it!" He looked at her, weirdly, "you can try practicing on me...I'll help you." She hopped off of him and steadied herself, giving him her full attention.

"Okay...are you sure? This seems...kind of dumb." She shrugged, "what other option do you have?" A smirk formed onto her face, knowing that she has won this battle against him. He shook his head, laughing, breathily, "fine. I'll practice." He huffed and she clapped her hands, excitedly. "Okay, go." She nodded her head for him to start and he was nervous. He knew that this was just a practice but he still didn't want to make a fool out of himself.

He shut his eyes, gaining focus before reopening his eyes, "girl you're shining." Camila started to giggle but she calmed herself, "like a fifth avenue diamond and they don't make you like they used to...you're never going out of style."

The room fell silent for quite a bit before Camila burst out laughing, rolling on the ground, unable to catch her breath. Shawn rolled his eyes and dropped to the floor with her to snap her back, "r-right...that...that was horrible." She threw her head back to laugh again and when she brought her head back up, she connected with Shawn's forehead and they both groaned in pain.

"Ow...okay, let me show you how to do it." She brushed her loose strands of hair out of her face before mentally preparing herself for what she would say, "okay...ready?" She asked and Shawn nodded, eagerly. He was desperate to know how to ask this special girl out.

"Ooh pretty baby, this world might have gone crazy." She started to laugh again before regaining focus, "the way you saved me, who could blame me when I just wanna make you smile." She ended with a wink and Shawn regained his confidence, "oh...and I can be like-" he cleared his throat, "I wanna thrill you like Michael," Camila was glad that he was finally catching on so she decided to add something herself, "I wanna kiss you like Prince."

Shawn nodded, adding a mental note to remember everything. "What are you waiting for? Go tell the girl!" She shoved at his chest, waiting for him to rush out her door.

Shawn smirked, "okay. I will tell her...right now." Camila nodded, waiting for him to leave. But instead, he interlocked their hands and looked down at her.

"You're over my head. I'm out of my mind...thinking I was born in the wrong time. One of a kind, living in a world gone plastic...baby, you're so classic." He shut his eyes, not able to comprehend the feelings he's just expressed to her.

"W-wait...y-you were just practicing on me right?" She took in a deep breath, not looking him in the eyes anymore. "No...that was me telling the girl that I had feelings for her." He shrugged and a smile crept up onto his face once he saw her smile and glassy eyes, "I'll admit...that was pretty good." He let out a laugh, along with her.

"Good enough to get you to be my girlfriend?" He tilted his head, in attempts to read how she was feeling. "Yes." She said after letting out a rigid breath. She kissed his lips and they both got lost in each other.

Shawn pulled away and fist bumped the air in victory, "finally."
