TikTok Trends

Camila mindlessly scrolled through her TikTok for you page. She was quickly growing bored of the app. She had her fair share of followers and often times her TikToks that she made as a joke with her friends made its way on the for you page which caused complete strangers to comment on how gorgeous she and her friends were or how funny they were. There were some mean comments but Camila didn't care enough about the app to even think about what a bunch of twelve year olds had to say. Her for you page consisted of pov's, dances that she knew she'd be hopeless in, and a whole lot of nothing.

Her best friend since she was twelve years old was supposed to come over later today and to keep her busy, she figured going on her phone would do just the trick to keep her from getting too bored. Though, Instagram was filled with nothing but Instagram models, Snapchat was stupid to her as she never understood streaks but she did occasionally snap her friends but quickly grew bored of that in a matter of minutes. Twitter was full of drama and none of her friends really used it or understood how funny people could really be on there. So, her last resort was TikTok.

A few more minutes of scrolling and eventually she found a TikTok that caught her attention. One of her favourite songs were playing and she knew that she just had to watch it.

Her eyes widened at the trend that she had no idea about. The girl pulled her boy best friend into a kiss and as Camila pressed onto the trending hashtag, she found every tiktok that was posted with that trend was undoubtedly cute. It made her think of Shawn. Her best friend. Camila wasn't completely naive, she knew that there was something more surrounding their "friendship". They've never kissed but they've joked about it and they've always said that they'd end up together. Unknowingly to Shawn, she hoped that it was the truth and not just some stupid and cruel joke that he was playing on her.

A thought popped into Camila's mind of doing the trend. However, she was terrified of rejection and she knew how awkward things would become if she even tried and didn't succeed. There was a possibility that this could quite possibly ruin their friendship. It wasn't something she even dared to think about because just the thought of them not speaking and not being apart of each other's lives anymore scared her to death and tore her heart into a million pieces. She shook her head and continued scrolling but it was almost as if TikTok was haunting her as every other TikTok on her for you page was girls or guys attempting to kiss their guy or girl best friend. Camila grew annoyed and got out of that app and went to her group chat of just the girls as she knew that they could either really convince her to do this possible dumb and crazy trend or they could talk her out of it.
