He couldn't help himself but move violently around the bed, trying to get comfortable. It really was no use, considering the fact that his head was pounding, his nose was stuffy, and his throat was burning. He completely forgot that Camila, his girlfriend of two years was sleeping soundly next to him. She shifted a few times before settling, causing Shawn to let out a relieved breath but that only caused him to start coughing, wildly.
If Camila wasn't awake before, she definitely was now. "Baby, are you okay?" She shook him, hovering over him with the most concerned look on her face. He smiled through the pain his throat was causing, "yes I am, love. Now please, just go back to bed." He rubbed her back but Camila was not convinced. His voice was raspier than usual and it was hoarse. "I'll be back, I'm going to make you some tea. You sound really sick." She kissed his cheek, softly before running towards the door.
Shawn was so amazed by her. Everyday he found something new to love about her. He absolutely adored her. The way she crinkled her nose and stuck her tongue out when she was concentrating, the way she kissed his chest, the way she touched him, kissed him, just loved him in general - he adored it all. He felt so loved and warmed at the thought of her getting up to make tea just for him, so early in the morning. He knew how much she liked to sleep in. She appreciated her sleep.
"Here," she spoke, gently. She sat down next to him and waited for him to sit up before tilting the cup towards his mouth. He took a sip and moaned, she always made the best tea, "anything else I can get you, baby?" She ran her fingers through his hair as he snuggled his head into her neck, "no, but you can just cuddle with me all day." He smirked into her neck. He felt her shift, slumping down into the bed, grabbing his head, gently, placing his head onto her chest as she ran her fingers through his hair.
He felt her kiss his head as her fingers ran up and down his scalp. His eyes got heavy as his heavy breath fanned against her.
He woke up all alone. He sighed, sadly but that soon went away as he saw the small brunette walk into their bedroom with a tray in her hand, "I made you some soup, I truly tried my best...you know I'm not that good at cooking." She pouted, placing the food in front of him, "it tastes amazing, baby. Thank you," he mumbled against her lips. "I'm sorry that you have to take care of me," he looked down at his tray. He felt bad that she had to take care of him like this. He always wanted to be the one that spoiled her and took care of her but right now, he wasn't capable of doing so.
"I love taking care of you. You should let me do it more often!" She giggled, placing the softest kiss on his bare chest. He grinned at the thought of her always wanting to take care of him, "I like taking care of you, Mila and it kills me that I'm not spoiling you right now," he pouted at her but all it took was a smile and a few kisses from her for him to smile.
The rest of the day consisted of the young couple cuddling, watching crime documentaries as Camila - once again, ran fingers through his hair as he rested contently on her chest. She felt him start to doze off again, "I love you." She whispered, kissing his forehead. The cutest smile was plastered on his face but his eyes were still closed, "I love you more, my love." He coughed out, cuddling deeper into her chest, reaching up and kissing her neck softly before dozing off to sleep for the thousandth time that day.
