"What? Where?"

"I just got in here because Ismelda and Merula were singing the 'mudblood song' again-"

"Yeah, right," said Dani. Apparently, Merula'd come up with the song over summer, and was now singing it loudly whenever she passed Ben in the corridors (and some other times as well). Though, Dani thought it was more funny than offensive ("Of course, you're a pure-blood!" coached Rowan).

"Anyway, I saw that everything'd been moved around..."

"So someone's searched it?"

"Probably. And the quill was just sitting on top of a barrel."

"Well, why are we still standing here? REPARIFARGE!"

The quill, as expected, turned into a note.

It's time to unleash it on Hogwarts. Ensure Dumbledore does not get in your way. Consider this a test. -R

"R," said Dani.

"That same creepy person who was sending me notes in our second year-as you told me," gasped Ben.

"You know I hate it there, but we're paying Dumbledore a visit."

"Things have been peaceful these few days," said Dumbledore. "I assure you, there is absolutely no need to worry. Us professors will handle the situation."

"But-"

"Mr. Copper, Miss Jackson, I understand that you brave Gryffindors want to help out, but please, don't put yourselves in unnecessary danger and let the adults handle this. Now run along."

Just as the two left Dumbledore's office, Andre Egwu, a Ravenclaw fourth-year who'd only recently joined the squad (thanks to Talbott), ran up to them. "Ben, Dani-Penny's just been attacked!"

The next day, after class, Dani and Tonks went to the hospital wing to visit Penny.

"Not now. She needs rest."

"Please, just a few minutes..."

"I think," Professor Sprout said as she walked by, "Miss Haywood could do with her friends for a bit. Might cheer her up."

"Five minutes," said Madam Pomfrey, stepping aside.

"Penny!" Tonks shouted, running to her bedside.

"Quick, what do you remember?" asked Dani. "I won't take nothing for an answer."

"I was taking a stroll in the training grounds when I saw a weird floating creature wearing a black cloak. And then I had a vision..."

"I was there with Rakepick yesterday. Spill."

"It was before I started at Hogwarts... I was in the local woods with my best friend Scarlett, when a werewolf showed up and attacked us..."

"I think I know what it is," said Tonks. "Meet in the training grounds after dinner."

"Nothing, nothing, NOTHING." Dani angrily threw a broom to the side. "When can we-" She spun around.

There was the creature Penny described, right behind her.

Dani couldn't even process what she was seeing (of course, she knew that dementors existed) before she snapped.

"Psst, Dani? Wake up!"

Dani opened one eye. Alex was leaning next to her bed. "Look... I'm going away."

"Why?"

"To look for the vaults."

"But I don't want you to leave!"

"You'll have to trust I have my reasons, Dani. Stay safe. We'll meet again one day."

He stood up, and walked out of the room, taking one last look at his beloved little sister before closing the door behind him.

"EXPECTO PATRONUM!"

A small blue ghostly rabbit appeared from behind Dani, and chased the creature away.

Tonks ran up to Dani. "Let's get out of here. I was right."

"What WAS that?"

"I'll explain..."
