Chapter forty five

Xavier’s POV
I knew that sooner or later, I had to go to Lasantha to talk to Melina’s parents about the marriage rites. I decided to make it a surprise for Melina so, he did not tell her he was coming over. I arrived at the kingdom and I was driven to the palace. I met king Arthur sitting in front of the palace sipping on a cup of wine. I greeted him and he responded. He also told a servant to get a chair for me. I looked up towards the room which I assumed to be Melina’s. I saw the curtains move and smiled to myself. “yes she would be here any minute”. I was pleased with myself.
I turned when I heard my name called “Xavier!”. Melina ran towards me and gave me a tight hug. She was so happy to see me. She let go of me when she realized that her father was there and she felt so embarrassed.
“Hey Melina, how are you doing today?” “I am very well, thank you. This is such a surprise; I did not know you were coming over”. I laughed because that was exactly what I wanted.
I sat back on the chair and another servant also got her a chair. Someone was sent to go and get her mother so that everyone will be present. Immediately her mother arrived, I told them the reason why I was there and that we had to complete the marriage rites in two weeks.
Melina’s father spoke “very well then, preparations will be made and we will arrive in Lycania in one week three days”.
Afterwards, her parents left and I was left alone with her, she was looking at me through her eyelashes and I smiled at how cute she was. “I would have loved to stay longer than this but I have some pack duties to attend to, so I have to leave now”. I stood up as I finished saying these.
She also stood up and told me to be safe, I hugged her once more then I left.

Melina’s POV
I was so happy Xavier came over to see my parents, I was kind of sad that Noe and Nylah were not around at the moment but they would probably hear about it when they come over in two days time. I felt so excited, I went into the garden and started unleashing my powers gently. It was nothing too serious, just some little balls of fire and a little water, some flowers and a tit bit of ice. When I was satisfied, I went into the palace to have my dinner.
