• September 1st, 1998, Hogwarts Express •
Percy was bored. She was drumming her fingers on the edge of the seat and was humming a random tune softly to herself.
"Can't you be quiet?!" Ron snapped at her.
"Sorry, its my ADHD,"
"Its been just half an hour for Merlin's sake!"
Percy excused herself and without answer she exited the compartment. She could hear Hermione scolding Ron for his manners against the closed door where she was leaning on. She pushed herself off the door and walked aimlessly through the corridor.
After a few minutes, she reached the end of the car where she leaned on the door. She started humming which she often did to take her mind off things.
Draco did not have any particular destination in his mind as he walked through the corridor. He wanted to get out of the compartment which seemed suffocating all of a sudden making awful memories resurface.
He heard humming as he neared the end of the car. He followed it as he had nothing else to do. He quietly walked with the 'notice me not' charm cast on him. He saw a familiar person leaning against the door humming. He leaned next to her on the wall.
Percy was all of a sudden hit with the smell of hair gel and peppermint. She whipped her head towards it and saw a familiar blond leaning on the wall beside her.
She smiled at him as he smiled back.
A few students of Hogwarts who went outside, came back to tell their friends about a beautiful unknown girl and ex-deatheater Draco Malfoy chatting and laughing near the door like old friends.

• September 1st, 1998, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry •
"Where did you go?" Ron demanded when she came back just in time to change into her school robes.
"Last I checked you weren't my Dad,"
"Where did you go?" Ron was glaring at her which made Hermione take a step back but Percy held her ground and rolled her eyes at him.
"Just talking to a friend,"
"But you haven't even started school!"
"I'm not as insensitive as you, Ronald so I can make friends quite easily,"
With that she left with her clothes to change leaving a steaming Ron. Hermione was scolding him yet again and Harry was reluctantly consoling as he couldn't help but agree with her.
