Chapter 21

"I think I'm going crazy Mingi"

"What do you mean?"

"She look exactly like Hana but how can that be right?"

"You're seriously going crazy"

"Aish! I swear that Prosecutor Lim is definitely on to something though"

"Like what?"

"She locked the door while questioning Wooyoung and even took her in-ear piece out so that we couldnt hear anything. Isnt that a little bit suspicious?"

"You're thinking too much Hongjoong hyung"

"Argh I guess your're right! Lets get coffee"

It was the evening and Wooyoung's trial was in two weeks so they rush on the case a bit since it was more complicated than they thought.

The team met up again, Hongjoong included and before they got on their topic, Hongjoong tap the girl who look at him anticipating.

"Why did you ran away last night though?"
He whispered earning a confuse look from Semi. She was quiet and tries to remember when did she ran away from him but could not recall.

"I dont remember running into each other"

They were disturb by Yunho giving a presentation on how far they've come on the case. Semi was confuse but Hongjoong was more confuse because he was sure that the person she ran into last at night was Semi, or more like someone who looks like Hana.

"There is another death"

They were stopped in the middle of their meeting when San bursted inside. What confuses them more was that why would he deliver the news himself?

"The dead person is an old classmate of ours again"

They dropped silence and Yunho and Yeosang were lost more than everybody else. Semi heard a little bit from San before so she was not as totally lost as them.

San came in and took an open seat before taking out pictures taken on the crime scene. He place them out on the table and tries to let it sink into their brain.

"She died the same way the previous girl died!"
Semi exclaim and gape her mouth in shock earning a nod from San.

"It cant be a suicide and is definitely a planned murder. Morever, it cant be Wooyoung. No matter how much I hated that guy right now, I dont think he killed the previous girl because the same thing happened again while he was locked up".

"It could also be a coincidence you know"

"No Yeosang! Someone out there is playing games on us. There is something hidden which we didnt know"
San answered and everyone remains silence before Semi stood up confusing the others in the room.

"Can I go home real fast? I'll be back for the next meeting. Yunho and Yeosang, why dont you guys go and look for more evidence again. Maybe you should bring Hongjoong along as well"

She stood up and left the room but heard footstep following her. She took a deep breath and tries to act calm and turn around.

"Let me drive you home"
He simply says and Semi just noded, not wanting to get more suspicious and nobody says anything about it the whole ride. Just a little questions from San about herself which she didnt mind answering at all.

"So you study Law in LA?"

"Yeah I stayed in LA till I was 16 and move back here"

"You were born there?"

"Ofcourse not, I was born in Deokju and was brought to LA since I was a year old"

San was not doubtful of her being Hana anymore. Infact he could already tell after meeting her for the first time that Semi could not be Hana no matter how much they look like each other.

She smiles at him and San feels butterfly building up inside his stomach which he hasnt felt for 12 years.

He was only 15 but he knew what liking someone means. He was supposed to confess his feelings on their junior high but someone beat him to it.
