"Who are you when it's 3 AM and you're all alone
and L.A. doesn't feel like home?"

The sound of heavy rain and the rapid winds, overlapped slightly with the music blasting out of the radio placed on the bedside table would have normally comforted me very quickly. But as I sat there with my Literature textbook flipped open in front of me, the only thing the noise was doing was adding to my already horrible headache. Groaning, I dropped my head into my hands and tugged at my hair in frustration.

"Luna, baby, please turn the music off." I grumbled, not turning to look at her. I heard her chuckle, followed by the shuffling of sheets as she probably moved on the bed before the lyrics and melodies blasting throughout the room softened to a soft hum.

"I can't do this." I murmured, pushing myself up from the desk chair and slamming the textbook shut as I did so.

"Do you need help?" She asked softly. I turned to look at her and my irritated gaze softened as warmth spread in my chest. She looked up at me from the stack of papers in front of her, her pen pausing mid-sentence as she studied me.

Her eyebrows were drawn together ever so slightly and her bright green eyes were clouded with concern. Her face was bare of any makeup, making the deep silhouette under her eyes even more prominent and I couldn't help but worry. When was the last time she had slept?

Deciding to push away that thought for the moment, I shook my head before walking over to her bed and flopping down beside her.

"I need a break." I said, closing my eyes as a wave of tiredness hit me. The pounding in my head did not cease and I pinched the bridge of my nose in hopes that it would soothe any of the pain.

The shuffling of pages caught my attention and I slowly cracked open my eyes when her weight on the bed shifted slightly. Rolling on my side, I smiled as a pair of jade eyes came into my line of vision.

"Hey."

"Hey, gorgeous." I murmured, placing a hand on her waist and pulling her to me. She smiled adorably, leaning closer to plant a soft kiss on my nose and I couldn't help the small, pleasant shiver which coursed down my spine.

"Tired?" She asked in a soft whisper and I closed my eyes again when I felt her run her fingers through my hair. Humming in response, I nodded slightly. I let go of her waist, reaching up to pull her hand out of my hair and interlocking our fingers together before bringing her hand to my lips.

"Go to sleep, Ky." My heart stuttered as I opened my eyes and gazed into her gorgeous eyes.

God, her eyes. She had the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen; a pair of bright, jade coloured eyes which you just couldn't help but love.

Everything about her was just so mesmerising. From her gorgeous eyes to the light dust of golden freckles across her nose to the way her lips never failed to look like the most kissable thing ever.

I had never met anyone who captivated me the way Luna did. And she didn't even have to try hard to do that. Just one look from her and I was already head-over-heals for this blonde beauty.

"What?" I blinked, realising she had been talking the whole time. A smile spread on her lips and she shook her head in disbelief, even though she didn't look the slightest bit mad.
