L U N AI groaned, ending the call and throwing my phone on my bed. This was the seventh time I had tried to call him in the past twenty minutes but each and every one of those calls went straight to voicemail.
I paced around my room, biting my lower lip. I fiddled with the ring on my finger and sighed, looking out the window. It was almost midnight and the lights in his room were on but he was nowhere to be seen.
I walked over to my bed and grabbed the phone, clicking on the call button once more. I bit my lip, anxiously waiting for him to pick up. On the third ring, he finally picked up.
"Kyler, where the heck are you?" I whispered, worry clear in my tone. There was some shuffling sound followed by a loud crash. My heart began pounding but I decided not to say something when I heard Kyler mumble a curse under his breath.
"Hey." He whispered and I frowned at the slur in his voice. He was drunk.
"Where are you? It's midnight and you still haven't gotten home-" I began but he cut me off softly.
"Shit. I'm- I'm sorry." He said, his voice was husky and I closed my eyes, silently praying that he hadn't drank too much. "I'm at Aiden's right now. I'll-I'll get home soon."
I shook my head, even though he could not see it. "No." I told him as I grabbed my jacket and pulled it on. "I'm going to need you to hand Aiden the phone, okay?"
He didn't say anything for a minute and I took that time to pull my shoes on. Then he hummed and mumbled something incoherent to someone around him. I could faintly hear the other guy speak before the phone was taken away from Kyler.
"Hello?" A deep, unfamiliar voice spoke. As far as I could tell, he sounded sober and I silently thanked God for that.
"Hey, um, Aiden right?" He hummed in response and I nodded to myself. "Do you think you could send me your address?"
Thankfully he didn't ask any questions and simply replied with a 'sure' before hanging up. I slowly unlocked my door and stepped out into the dark corridor. I silently made my way down the stairs when I felt my phone vibrate in my hand. I lifted it to see Aiden's address.
Pushing the uncomfortable feeling in my stomach away, I walked over to the front door and unlocked it, making my way out into the freezing streets. I looked at the address once again, noticing that it was a walking distance from my house.
Without waiting, I began walking down the streets quickly. The streets were deserted as usual, a cold and chilly feeling enveloping me as I made my way to Aiden's house. After a few uncomfortable minutes, I finally reached the house which was hopefully Aiden's.
The garden and house was dark, the only source of light coming from the small window above the garage. I stood where I was and pulled out my phone, calling Kyler again.
He didn't pick up but I heard a loud noise as the garage door opened. My eyes snapped over to a dark haired guy standing in the doorway.
"You must be Luna." He said, his face emotionless as I nodded. "He's in here."
I nodded again, not saying anything as I moved past him and into the garage. My heart pounded as I looked around the empty room which had nothing but a few couches pushed in the centre.
