Chapter 21 - First Try

CHRISTIAN'S POV

I still remember the night before they went home.

"Sigurado ka ba talaga sa tanong mo Christian?"

"Ofcourse, Nika."

"Paano? Tsaka hindi mo pa naman ako.....uhm.....ma... mahal, diba?"

"Nika, hindi kita liligawan dahil trip ko lang. Liligawan kita because I love you and I'm ready to court you because I want to make you mine."

Today na 'ko magsisimula ng panliligaw.

I don't really know what came up to my mind para tanungin siya kung pwede ba 'ko manligaw.

Basta, I thought it's now or never.

I hate seeing him with other boys. So bakit hindi ako gumawa ng way para ako na lang yung lalaking kasama niya?

The next thing I knew I was talking to my dad.

My feelings are driving me insane. Like, my heart beats faster whenever I'm near her, I'm jealous when she's close with other boys, it hurts me when she treats me like I'm nothing to her and I always want staying by her side.

I talked to my dad and I told him these things. And I asked him if it's okay kung ligawan ko na si Nika.

He said na masyado pa daw kaming bata. He said na 'puppy love' lang daw 'to.

"You're still young to enter that kind of relationship. How old are you? You're just fourteen. And I don't know if you can handle relationships. I don't know if you can treat her well. Maybe what you're feeling right now is just puppy, you know puppy love. But son, if you think that's the right thing to do then I will let you. If you think, you can treat her well then go. I just want you to remember some things. Girls aren't toys. You just can't play with them. You shouldn't play with their hearts and leave them. Girls aren't slaves. They are their dad's princess. Girls aren't coca-cola that you can just grab for your own happiness. You should respect them. You should treat them the way they deserve to be treated. If you really love her, you'll not hurt her."

The night after we talked, I found myself staring at our photos.

I even searched for the things that guys do for girls.

The next day, I went to a shop that makes personalized necklaces. I asked them to put C&N inside the heart.

And so I decided to give it to her the moment we are celebrating a new year.

Palabas ko lang din yung kunyari na iinis ako sa kanya nung pina alis niya ko sa sofa. Dahil kailangan kong lumayo muna sa kanya at huminga ng malalim para finally matanong sa kanya 'yon.

Hindi ako nagmamayabang pero feeling ko may nararamdaman din siya sa 'kin. Alam ko sa sarili kong mahal ko siya. Hindi nga lang ako sigurado, kung ganoon din ang nararamdaman niya para sa 'kin.

I'll make sure the moment she'll say yes to me, she's finally inlove with me.

I'll make sure I will treat her the way she deserve to be treated. I'll make sure I will never hurt her. I will make her feel like she's a queen. I want her to feel that she's not alone. I want her to know that I'll never leave her. I'll make sure that everytime she has problem, she's not alone solving it. I will make things better. I want her to feel protected when she's with me. And I want her to feel my love every second.
