He popped his cigarette fast. He was nervous knowing that Kent had a one night stand with Lorelle.
Hindi niya mapaniwalaan ang sinabi ni Kent kanina. What happened to her? Bakit parang nag-iba na yata ang pagkatao nito?
He knew her as a reserved and conservative woman. Bakit nakikipag one night stand na ito ngayon?
Ano kayang nangyari rito sa loob ng labinlimang taon?
He cannot stand his story about her. Kung naging fling ito ni Kent ay malamang na hindi lang ito ang naging ka fling ng dalaga. He can't stand the thought of her in the arms of someone else.
Isang taon niya ring iningatan ang dalaga. He adored her and respected her dahil gusto niya itong mapreserve. He saw his future with her in his side.
But, she changed a lot. She is no longer the Lorelle that he loved way back in High School.
Nakakapanghinayang na sa loob ng mahabang panahong hindi sila nagkasama ay nag iba na ito ng husto.
Baka nga kaya ito nakidnap ay dahil nagliwaliw lamang ito sa Davao. Doing the usual things an easy go lucky girl do.Lalo siyang napahitit ng sigarilyo sa naisip.
Time can really change a person. It changed him and Lorelle, too.
He closed his eyes. He can still remember her face vividly. Her smile that can make any worries go away. Her laugh that could make a mourning soul move on. Her face that could make you fall in love with her easily.
It is just odd that she changed so much that maybe he can no longer recognize her if not of her face.
"Cap!" Tawag ni PFC Martin Agodo sa kanya. Napalingon siya rito.
"Ano 'yon, Mart?" Itinapon niya ang upos ng sigarilyo sa trashbin.
Napatingin ito sa itinapon niyang upos. Nagtataka marahil ito na naninigarilyo siya. Hindi naman kasi siya smoker, kapag nervous lang talaga siya.
" Tawag ka ni CO." Sabi nito matapos mag salute sa kanya.
Iyon na ang hinihintay nilang hudyat.
"Tell the rest of the men to get ready for deployment."
"Sir, yes, sir!"
Nang tumalikod ang kanyang tauhan ay napahugot siya ng malalim na buntong hininga. A rescue mission for his high school sweetheart in the middle of his vacation. What an operation!
Nagkibit-balikat siya bago nagmamadali ang mga lakad na pumunta sa office ni Col.Martinez for his further instructions.
He must be pretty worried for her as well. Nakita niya na nawala ang cool nito kanina. Iba talaga ang nagagawa ng emotion sa tao.
He saw his superior in sitting in his reclining chair.Napatayo ito ng sumaludo siya rito. Just like him ay aligaga rin ito. Sinalubong nito ang tingin niya.
"It is time, Kurt. We will execute the rescue and there is an addition to the plan."
He discuss the plan further while he listen to him carefully.
"Sir, we are ready." Ipinaalam niya rito ang kahandaan ng team niya.
"In 10:00 hours ay aalis na kayo. Verified na nandoon ang tatlong subject natin sa location na na-trace ng intel." The commanding officer confirmed.
"Yes, sir."
"Kurt, mag-ingat kayo. Basta iligtas ninyo ang lahat ng bihag kahit na ano ang mangyari." Paalala nito sa kanya.
