13. Just another day

Saying that Jungkook is tired would be an understatement. The week is not even over and he's already been through so much, the first few days went in anticipating Taehyung's visit and then when he showed up, well, let's just say that things did not go in Jungkook's favor, he had a panic attack because of it. Then he talked to Yerim and even though whatever she said was right, it didn't very much help Jungkook's heart, and now he has to go and talk to Jin and Yoongi and tell them that he met Taehyung, not once but thrice.

He is right now sitting on the orange couch in Yoongi and Jin's apartment. Yoongi is in the kitchen preparing dinner and Jin is busy doing something around the apartment.

Jungkook stares at the wall and then the couch, this is a familiar sight for him. Four years ago, he was sitting on the same couch, with the same nervousness. It was after a few days of his fiasco with Taehyung. The day when Jungkook told his hyungs that he cheated on his boyfriend, the day when he told them his side of the story. Yoongi and Jin were really pissed at him when he told them about his sexcapades, Jungkook too was very much disgusted with himself but he had nothing to offer except for saying 'sorry'. So he did, he apologized to both of them until they gave in. Jin might have given him an earful, but he made sure that Jungkook was okay, he made sure that Jungkook does not drown in his own guilt. Jin and Yoongi are the best hyungs in the world, they love Jungkook as their own brother, so they accepted him with his flaws.

"Kook?" Jin shakes Jungkook's shoulder to get his attention. Jungkook was zoning out, he doesn't know from how long he's been sitting on the couch and staring at the wall.

"What are you thinking about?"

"S' nothing hyung, can we talk now?" It's better now then never. Jungkook doesn't want to make a big deal out of this and hurt his heart and brain even more.

"Okay, I'll call Yoongi," Jin says, getting up from the couch to call his boyfriend.

They all sit around the couch then and Jungkook tells them everything, right from Taehyung bringing an injured dog to the clinic to what conversation they had yesterday in the park.

"I panicked because I didn't know what and how to feel, it was years of pent up feelings and I didn't know how to handle them," Jungkook says, looking up to Jin and then Yoongi, they both keep quiet, listening to Jungkook and taking in all the information Jungkook is giving them.

"It's okay Kook, you have to respect what Taehyung wants," Jin says as he shifts closer to Jungkook, to pat him on his shoulder.

"I know hyung and I'll do whatever he wants."

"Will you be okay, if we invite everyone for Jin's birthday, if you are uncomfortable then we can do something else," Yoongi says, from where he sits on the couch.

Jungkook nods, "It's fine hyung, I'm a grown up boy, I can handle my feelings."

"No, you're still a baby," Jin coos, reaching forward to tug on the younger's ear and poke his cheeks. Jungkook swats his hands away, grumbling, "Can we go and eat now, m' hungry."

On Monday when Taehyung comes to adopt Yeontan, Jungkook is busy in a surgery so he tells Soobin to handle the process and other documents. Jungkook is actually kind of relieved that he didn't have to face Taehyung, mostly because he didn't know what to say to him or what to expect from his side.

It's later in the night when his phone chimes with a text message and 'Jungkook and his six hyungs' pops up on the screen. After Jungkook and Taehyung happened, they all stopped talking in this group chat, save for the occasional wishes on birthdays and festivals.
