33. I trust you

Okay,  yall can say i suck at updating but in my defense thia chapter was hard to write

Taehyung parks his car in front of Jungkook's clinic. They decided to spend the weekend at Taehyung's place. He's there almost half an hour early, not expecting for Jungkook to get off work before the time he calls Jin. He is working on his friendship with Jin and Yoongi too, in the past years they've been friends but there was a drift, like something translucent standing between them. Taehyung always thought that they both took Jungkook's side even though it was his fault. 

But everything is going back to normal now, he sees how Jin or Yoongi always try to include him, make extra efforts to just be like the close knit brothers they were before.

Jin had texted him a few hours ago, asking Taehyung to call whenever he was free. Taehyung scrolls through the list of contacts and then dials Jin's number. His car is parked in front of Jungkook's hospital gate so that he can see when Jungkook gets out of the hospital. Yeontan is sitting on his lap, wiggling his tail, trying to get out of the small space between Taehyung and the steering wheel.

The call was short and sweet with Jin telling him about his plans with Yoongi and just catching up on eachother. It's when Taehyung is saying goodbye to Jin and cutting the call he sees a familiar face exiting the hospital and his blood runs cold.

He has seen this face before when he was in college, in the picture that his friend sent him that night, in the car with Jungkook, in the memories that sometimes flash in front of his eyes as a curse, Minsun.

He sees Minsun exiting the clinic with a bag in his hand and walking towards the  parking lot. A lot of things flash through Taehyung's mind when he sees the familiar face he grips the steering wheel tight to calm himself. There are some possibilities for Minsun being in the clinic, the rational part of him says that Minsun is just here to get his pet checked, but then again Taehyung didn't see any pet in his hand, nonetheless it's still a possibility. 

And the other part, which Taehyung doesn't want to believe, is that Jungkook is seeing Minsun again, which would also mean that Jungkook is doing exactly what he did four years ago. The mere thought of this makes Taehyung sick, his heart races and blood pounds in his ears.

This is what he had feared the most when he decided to give Jungkook a second chance, if Jungkook is cheating on him again then he wouldn't hesitate to break his bones, but what about Taehyung?

Yeontan looks disturbed in his lap when Taehyung gets jittery and distressed, he barks at Taehyung to get his attention. When Taehyung looks at him, his eyes immediately soften, he pets Yeontan's fur, "I'm sorry Tannie, it's just- I don't know what to do," he mumbles softly.

Taehyung is snapped out of his thoughts when he hears a soft knock on the window of his car. It's Jungkook smiling at him, his lips tugged into a grin, he mouths 'hi' to Taehyung. 

Taehyung quickly opens the door for him and Jungkook slides in, Yeontan looks really happy to have Jungkook as company, ready to jump into his lap. Jungkook chuckles before picking him up and gives kisses on his fur. 

Taehyung observes him but something doesn't sit right, maybe it's Taehyung himself with whom he saw earlier, but Jungkook seems a bit off and disturbed. Like for once Taehyung always gets a kiss first but right now Jungkook doesn't even dare to make eye contact, neither does he spare a glance at Taehyung.

Taehyung gulps, he decides to keep the Minsun thing to himself for now, he doesn't want to come off as suspicious, plus if Jungkook really wants Taehyung to trust him then this is Jungkook's mess to clear and not his.
