Taehyung and Jungkook do exactly what they decided upon, play games, watch something, live in the moment that they have in their hands. The weekend goes just by like that with trying to keep their hands off each other which they try to resist, but fail.
The highlight of the weekend being Taehyung acting all cutesy just to get Jungkook's attention and then ultimately getting fucked against the wall as per his request, which Jungkook very happily complies to.
Needless to say that their free time together goes very smoothly. Jungkook also likes to think that he made a very considerable improvement in this week, he isn't actually very sure about how he is going to make Taehyung trust him again. The only viable option being that he does what exactly he's doing right now - be with Taehyung, be honest with him, let Taehyung see this vulnerable side of him which wants to be loved. That's all he can come up with right now while he gives time for Taehyung to trust him again. He just hopes that he's doing okay.
Mondays are always a bitch, mondays that follow a long relaxing weekends are even more of a bitch, and tuesdays, wednesdays, and thursdays that follow the same hectic monday with double the workload are the head bitch.
Work is all over the place and Taehyung thought that he might catch a break but he doesn't, it's thursday and the world seems to hate him.
"Seriously Taehyung! I trusted you with this deal and this might cost our company a fortune so you better fix it." His boss yells at him before he slams the door in Taehyung's face. The Japan deal that Taehyung was so happy to score just came back to bite him in the ass. Some issues with the paperwork are about to cost him his job and on top of that his asshole of a boss is really not helping his situation.
Taehyung wants to cry, well that's not really what he is going to do right now but it's seven in the evening and he doesn't want to be alone with this deal weighing down on his chest. He's craving for someone to comfort him while he sorts his shit out.
He wants comfort and when he thinks of comfort he thinks of Jungkook. It's surprising to Taehyung too that how Jungkook was the one who came to his mind first and not a blank empty face as usual but he doesn't give any thought to it and turns his car towards Jungkook's apartment.
He hasn't been to Jungkook's apartment since their weekend together and he feels a little awkward to go there unannounced. Nonetheless, he knocks on the door, feeling a bit nervous as he waits for Jungkook to open the door.
The moment Jungkook opens the door his face goes through a phases of expressions, he's shocked first then surprised, his brows shooting to his hairline and then when finally he takes in Taehyung's state - his hunched backbone, stressed face, dull eyes, messy hair, he immediately pulls Taehyung inside the apartment, quickly wrapping his hands around Taehyung.
"Bad day?" He whispers into Taehyung's hair, moving his hands up and down Taehyung's sides. Taehyung too falls into his embrace, going slack as he lets Jungkook drag him inside.
"The worst, I might lose my job." He sighs from where he sits on the couch, opposite to Jungkook but still close so that they both can hold hands.
"Your company would be stupid to fire a hardworking employee like you." Jungkook consoles, squeezing their intertwined hands.
"I messed up some paperwork and if I don't fix it in two days, it will cost my company millions so they might as well fire me."
"What Hyung? No! I believe in you, I know you can somehow fix this." Taehyung just shakes his head in response, sinking further into the couch.
"Okay how bout' this, I'll make you dinner, give you a massage, you'll rest some and then get back to work. You have your paperwork with you right?" Jungkook doesn't wait for a response and springs into action, already getting up from the couch to rush into the kitchen when Taehyung pulls him back on the couch, this time way closer, so close that he could reach out and kiss Jungkook.
"What would I do without you," he says, a coy, cheesy smile tugging on his lips as he pulls Jungkook more close, so that their noses are touching.
Jungkook scrunches his nose and smiles, one that makes Taehyung all fond and giddy, "Oh no, if this is the part where you tell me that I'm your knight in shining armor, save it till we get your job back."
Taehyung doesn't wait a second after that, he pulls Jungkook in and kisses him full on lips, once, twice this time smiling, thrice before Jungkook pulls apart. "No time to waste, we have work to do," he says, getting up from the couch.
"Aye captain." Taehyung calls from behind him, when Jungkook walks towards the kitchen.
"Save it for the bedroom" he hears Jungkook say from the kitchen, the sound of giggling following like music to Taehyung's ears.
They stick to their little plan after then, Jungkook is more stubborn about making Taehyung relaxed and comfortable. It's cute, Taehyung wants to pinch his cheeks and cuddle him close but everytime he does that Jungkook gives him a stern look to get back to work.
During nighttime Jungkook insists on staying awake with him but after a few hours he passes out on the couch, Taehyung kisses him on the forehead and goes back to work.
The project comes through after he spends nearly two days, he finds a solution to the paperwork and sends them to his boss, who in return gives him a pat on his back and says to be careful next time. It feels like a solid weight is lifted off Taehyung's shoulders.
Through these rough days, Jungkook stuck by him, he made sure that Taehyung had everything he needed and that he didn't have to worry about anything. He took care of Yeontan and Taehyung both without even batting an eyelash.
A swirl of emotions goes through Taehyung's head and heart when he thinks about Jungkook, something so fond and akin, like a bubble spurting in his chest or a rainbow against the blue sky, something very close to the L word.
