19. Beach vacy

Jungkook loves beaches and he knows Taehyung loves them too. There's something about the subdued sound of the waves, the feeling of velvety-golden sand beneath his feet, essence of the sea, tall-tall palms touching the blue orange hues, and the calm in his consciousness that drives him to ecstasy.

Growing up in Busan, he'd always go to the beach with his brother, his family and his school friends. One time when Taehyung had visited Busan with Jungkook, they had gone to all the beaches in Busan. It was nine months into their relationship when their semester exams ended and they both decided to visit Jungkook's parents. Taehyung, in his childhood never had really been to a beach, mostly because Daegu had no beaches and Taehyung's family was a big family, which really hindered his traveling experiences.

Jungkook remembers their small trip as clear as day, he and Taehyung had strolled on the beach, got tanned, ate ice-creams and watermelons, went swimming, wore couple T-shirts and kissed a lot, to the point where Taehyung's lips turned a faint shade of blue, he had a tough time hiding them from Jungkook's parents.

It was their own little bubble that no one could break, nothing held more weight than their love for each other. Then what went wrong? It was the memories like this that often made Jungkook wonder about where it went down the hill?

Jungkook tries to shake away his unpleasant thoughts and takes in the scenery in front of him. They came to the beach house in the morning, quickly ate breakfast and decided on the room distribution. There were five rooms in total which made it easy. Jin and Yoongi in one room, Hoseok and Jimin in one room, duh, and Taehyung, Jungkook and Namjoon, all had their separate rooms.

Then they all went to the beach to swim in the sea, right now Jungkook is sitting on his bed, unpacking some of his stuff. He hears a knock on the door and saunters towards it to see who it is. It's Taehyung, he is standing in the doorway, fingers fidgeting with the hem of his T-shirt, "What are you doing?"

For Jungkook, Taehyung always looks adorable, especially when he is nervous, "Nothing, ssup?"

"I was just wondering if we could go to the small market nearby," Taehyung says, taking a glance at Jungkook and then looking away.

Jungkook is aghast, his insides are doing a hula dance, knowing that Taehyung wants to hangout with him, "S-sure why not, I'll just grab my stuff," Jungkook utters, walking inside the room, Taehyung follows him.

"It's just that Namjoon hyung is reading and Yoongi hyung and Jin hyung went fishing and I h-heard noises coming from Jimin and Hoseok's room so--"

Jungkook collects his stuff, especially his camera and quickly turns around to tug on Taehyung's wrist, "It's okay hyung, you want me as a friend, I'm here as a friend." He smiles at the older giving him an assuring nod. Taehyung cuts short his rambling and nods in return. Both of them blushing.

"C'mon let's go."

The small market is just a ten minutes walk from Daecheon Beach, the beach they're staying at. They walk in a comfortable silence, keeping a distance so their hands don't brush together. Jungkook wants to make this least awkward as possible.

Taehyung takes a glance at his watch, it's four thirty in the evening, "It's perfect, we'll be back just in time for sunset."

"Yeah, wouldn't wanna miss the sunset in Daecheon. That's what I got my camera for," Jungkook says, bringing his camera up, in front of Taehyung to snap his picture. Jungkook immediately regrets doing so because he may have crossed some boundaries, also Taehyung's expression is not readable but it's definitely an unpleasant one from the frown of his eyebrows.

"S-sorry--" Jungkook says immediately but Taehyung cuts him to it, "What are you gonna do with it, hang them on your white walls?" The frown from Taehyung's face disappears, he looks like he is teasing Jungkook.
