CHAPTER 13: TALKS

Classes passed, I couldn't speak to that golden dog. He hangs around with Legoshi during classes and I don't want to go up to ask him when he's close. I don't want Legoshi to know anything about me. At least, not yet.

I'm in my room, I just came to get my violin. The extra music classes will begin in a few minutes. Today they'll tell us in which events we can join. I need money so I'll have to check. Although I don't think anyone will accept me after so many stupid rumors.

I hear the door open. I turn to see that Juno is the one who is entering the room. Finally, I hope I can talk to her now. Juno turns to see me holding my violin. She seems surprised to see me.

Y/N: Hi Juno ..

J: H-hi ..

We both stood there. Along with an awkward silence. I think of a way I can break the ice and talk about what's been troubling me lately.

Y/N: Juno, I-..

J: Hey I wanted-..

We both spoke at the same time, and we kept quiet so that the other would end. After that I tried to speak again.

Y/N: I was saying that-..

J: I wanted to tell you-..

We talk again at the same time and remain silent again. Because of how strange and awkward that was. We laugh a little.

J: You go first.

Y/N: N-No, you go first.

J: Well... Ok then.

Thank God, I thought this would last forever. I manage to laugh a bit, for the nerves and grace that this did to me.

J: Well, I ... I wanted to apologize for what happened yesterday.

Oh, she seems to have given importance to it too. The truth took me by surprise. I relax a little and let her finish.

J: I'm sorry I walked away from you in the cafeteria back then, it's just ...

Juno holds her forearm and seems embarrassed by what she did. I don't want her to feel that way about me.

Y/N: Hey, Juno, it's okay. I don't blame you, it was a very strange day back then.

J: No, it's not okay. I let those people affect me and I got away from you. When you just wanted to talk.

She really seems to regret what she did. I try to calm her down.

Y/N: Juno I-

J: I haven't spoken to you all day because I thought that after what I did you would hate me.

Y/N: Of course not Juno! How could I hate you? You're my only friend in this place full of idiots.

Juno turns to see me with tears in her eyes.

J: A-Are you serious?

I give Juno a slight smile as I nod.

Y/N: You can bet on it.

Juno gives a sad smile and wipes her tears away with her hand. She makes a sound that's a mix of a laugh and a sob.

J: Thank you Y/N.

Y/N: No problem.

I turn to see the door, I remember that I must go to the music club.

Y/N: Well .. I'm gonna be late. I should be going to my classes heh.

I get on my way to the door.

Y/N: Today I must choose in which event I'll participate, I gotta see if there's someone who'll accept me.

I'm about to leave the room when ...

J: Don't you want to join the theater orchestra?

Huh? I turn interested to see Juno.

J: We don't have someone who plays the violin. You're good at that. I think it wouldn't be bad for you to join us.

Honestly that doesn't sound bad, but I don't know if people will be comfortable with my presence.

Y/N: Juno, I don't know if-..

J: Before you say something!! There are carnivores in your group and ... there'll also be Louis. So, he won't let them bother you.

Y/N: .... Louis?

I turn to look at Juno. I've heard some stuff about Louis. I know he's trying to become a Beastar. It means that he unites us animals despite our differences as species.

J: I ... I doubt that with Louis there, someone's going to bother you. And you could also make some friends heh. Since you would have at least one common interest.

It seems to me that Juno is giving me good arguments.

Y/N: Well, it could be ... I'll think about it.

J: Yeah, sure. The theater is a club where carnivores and herbivores interact with each other in peace. Besides, you won't be the only wolf in your classroom who'll help there.

What? That last sentence caught my attention.

Y/N: Is there ... a wolf in the club? Who?

J: Um.. He's a gray wolf as far as I know, he works in the art department. I think his name is... Legoshi? Or.. was it Loboshi? I'm not sure about that.

And with that, Juno manages to convince me.

Y/N: Huh ... you know what? I'll do it.

J: For real?!

I see Juno smile excitedly and wag her tail, holding her hands on her chest. I smile to her.

Y/N: Sure! I gotta try to make more friends, you said so.

With this I'll be able to get the money I need. And most importantly, I'll be able to keep a closer eye on Legoshi.

J: Awesome! You go and sign up to join the theater department. I'm going ahead!

Juno takes a script and walks away excited. It seems that talking can fix many stuff. I walk away from my room, holding my violin on hand.

So... Theater department huh? Well, it's time to get to know Legoshi a bit better.
