We find ourselves running through the dangerous and abandoned streets of the city. Rainy clouds cover the warm sun, making the environment feel colder, darker, and lonely.
I feel Legoshi's sweaty and warm hand as he guides us towards who knows where.
We've been running for a while, wether Legoshi's fast or just by being taller and stronger gets less tired from running than I do. He overspeeds me, a girl who prefers the cold and isn't a great athlete, who gets tired easily.
I don't know if the sweat I'm feeling when I hold his hand is his or mine anymore.
Y/N: Woah hey! Hold your horses!
Legoshi: What?
That... sounded bad. Legoshi keeps running.
Y/N: I mean-.. wait a moment! We've been running for a while! Maybe the best thing would be to-..
Suddenly, Legoshi stops abruptly, so inertia makes me bump into his back, interrupting what I was planning to say and hitting my nose with him. Thanks to this bump, I pushed him a little. Once separated from such bump, I finish what I was saying.
Y/N:-.. Stop..
I cover my nose with my hands, and then I start moving it to ease the pain. I see Legoshi looking up, so I turn to look up too.
We're in front of a huge building, an old faded and high building, it looks as if it were about to collapse. But the most striking thing about this building is that up there is a giant cross. Is this a hospital?
Legoshi: It's here.
Confident that he knows what he's doing, Legoshi walks towards the entrance door of the building.
My instincts tell me to stop him since it's not a safe place at all, but I manage to control myself. Still, I walk alongside him and ask.
Y/N: It's here? What IS here?
Legoshi: Do you remember the panda I mentioned to you?
Y/N: The one who kidnapped you?
Legoshi: Yes. He may help us rescue Haru.
I don't understand why is he seeking help from a kidnapper, it leaves me confused, so I turn my head, raise an eyebrow and narrow my eyes.
However, determined to save our friend. He doesn't see my confusion and knocks on the door. Waiting for that panda to welcome us with open arms.
I cross my arms, doubtful that this is a good idea. Well it's not as if we had many ideas or time by now though....
Nothing happens. Legoshi knocks on the door again a bit stronger this time. I don't think he's inside. I tap the ground with my foot impatiently, and I can see Legoshi does the same.
Nothing yet. Legoshi knocks on the door again stronger and more frustrated.
Legoshi: Panda! Are you in there?
At this point, if he were inside, he would've already open the door. We'll lose more time if he keeps insisting.
Y/N: I don't think he's inside, Legoshi.
Legoshi: No, no it can't be. We don't have time for this, he MUST be inside.
I can feel his despair, I can hear it.. I'm also desperate, maybe we have to think of another plan instead of wasting time.
Y/N: I don't think this is a good idea.
Legoshi: No you don't understand, he CAN help us. We need him.
This is crazy, I don't understand anything, so I can't support his plan.
Y/N: Wha-..? Legoshi he kidnapped you! You said it yourself.
Legoshi: He didn't... kidnap me exactly.
Y/N: You said you woke up CHAINED in front of him. That sounds like kidnapping to me!
Legoshi: He let me go!
Why is he insisting on doing this?! We don't have time for this. We argue in front of the door, forgetting about our surroundings.
Y/N: Oh so if it wasn't kidnapping, what was it? Surprise adoption?
Legoshi: Hey, if you have a better idea than this, then tell me!
THAT'S THE PROBLEM! WE DON'T HAVE ANY OTHER IDEA!!
Legoshi: Listen, I know this is confusing, but believe me. That panda may look intimidating and scary, but inside, he cares about people.
Y/N: So why does he work on the black market? And why did he... "not kidnap" you?
This is all very frustrating and confusing, it makes me want to stop arguing and do something. But we don't know what... God rescuing someone is harder than I thought.
Legoshi: I'll explain everything later. But trust me. He's a good pers-..
I see a shadow suddenly pass between us two that hits the door we were knocking on, piercing it.
We both startle and look at that shadow, which I can now see is a green stick... a bamboo stick actually.
??: If you want another therapy session you must let me know kid.
Legoshi and I turn to see behind the door, a large, muscular, intimidating and scarred panda, pointing a crossbow at us which also seems to be made of bamboo... Oh yes.. a good person indeed..
Legoshi: Panda!
I notice the joy in Legoshi's voice when he sees his.. panda friend is here.
I see the panda sigh in annoyance, looking down and turning to see Legoshi with a grimace of displeasure.
Gohin: I told you, my name is Gohin, NOT panda.
Hm.. I'll call him panda. He lets his guard down and carries his crossbow behind his back. Which I guess calms me down a bit.
Gohin: What are you doing here? Bumping into the black market by accident a second time is quite stupid.
Legoshi: It wasn't an accident.. we need your help to find the Shishi-..
Gohin: Let's not talk here.
He interrupts Legoshi abruptly, as if mentioning such a word was forbidden.
Gohin: This is a dangerous place even for carnivores like you.
The panda walks towards the door, I can't avoid moving away from him a little when he goes to open it. Once it's open he makes a signal to us with his head to enter.
Gohin: Let's go inside, it's safer there.
I don't trust this panda very much, I'd say he hasn't shown any bad intention towards us, but he just scared us with a crossbow, so I haven't decided anything yet...
He enters and Legoshi follows without hesitation, once he's inside too, he turns to see me.
Legoshi: Come on. There's nothing to be afraid of.
Then he walks deeper in the building, without leaving me with many choices.
I look behind me, the street doesn't seem safe at all being so cloudy and quiet. So I have no choice but to enter.
I'm inside the house of a panda who kidnapped Legoshi and pointed a crossbow at us. And still, Legoshi says there's nothing to fear.
What do you think this is? A tea party?
