CHAPTER 58: HARU'S GARDEN

The moon was shining in the dark.  The leaves of the trees were shaken by the cold night breeze.  The streets were illuminated by the lights of the city and in silence I found myself, at the entrance of the school one more time.

It's late, but I'm not in trouble for arriving at this time, since we had requested the school to arrive later to finish with some details for the festival.  Even so, I go inside and walk alone along the silent path that guides me to the lodging rooms.

After today's long day, my intentions are to go to bed and rest, but before that, I have to deal with one more issue. Talk to Haru.

After I washed my bloody mouth, I went looking for her, but she and Legoshi were already gone, along with most of the companions.

She doesn't believe the rumors that talk about me, but after seeing me like this, I'm not sure what she believes now.  That's why I need to talk to her. To explain everything.

If she's in her room, I'll have to talk to her tomorrow, but first, I want to make sure she's not in there yet.  The only place, where she's likely to be, other than her room, is the garden, along with her beloved flowers that she's told me about at lunches.

It's already nighttime, but since the teachers knew we would arrive later, they left the door of some classrooms open, so we could pick up several of our stuff we left inside.  So I won't have a problem entering Haru's garden.

I walk to the garden entrance, telling myself that there's nothing to fear, I just need to tell her the truth.  But.. what if she doesn't believe me?

My ears lift when I hear a sound.  Approaching the entrance to the garden, walking down the stairs, I could hear a certain girl I know talking to someone. Haru's sweet, sharp and tender voice is heard in there.

She IS inside.  But I cannot deduce what she's saying, even though she's in there, it seems she's inside her cabin, which blocks the sound and I can only listen to distant, unintelligible talks.

I also hear a boy's voice, I recognize Legoshi's soft, husky voice in there.  I don't know what they're talking about, but it gives me a bad feeling...

I put my hand on the door knob and turn it so I can open it and get inside.  Finding myself in the garden, which in my opinion, looks more beautiful at night, under the moonlight.

I go in and leave the door open, I hope for my chat with Haru to be quick.  Should I wait for her to finish talking to Legoshi? 

Maybe it'd be better if I went up and knocked on his door, to explain what happened, it's a possibility  they're talking about me. 

I can hear their talk diminishes, Their tone of voice lowering, which makes me have the same problem as before when listening to their unintelligible talk. 

I must get closer to listen, but I rather not to eavesdrop and go straight to the point.

I approach the cabin but I just meet Legoshi who comes out of there and startles when he sees me.

Y/N: Hey.

Legoshi: Hey..

From the suspicious look that Legoshi gives me, I can know Haru told him what she saw.  Which doesn't benefit me at all..

Legoshi: What are you doing here?

Y/N: I... came to talk to Haru... it's important.

A sad look is reflected on him, he turns to see back to the cabin where Haru is, although I can't close her, it's dark inside. 

Legoshi turns with a nervous gaze that becomes assertive and stands firm, which I see his height radically change when he stands up straight.
