I run up the stairs, I run so fast I can get up in less than a second. Still, I feel like it takes forever to get there. Legoshi is up there, along with Haru, and a killer lion.
Once upstairs, I don't have time to think, the door is open and in front of me, Legoshi is fighting against the lion chief.
Without even thinking about it I run towards the two of them and jump so high to land on the lion's back, who's biting Legoshi's wrist with strength.
I grab his combed mane and pull it back to turn his whole head, thus releasing Legoshi's hand. I hear Haru's screams, but I don't pay attention to them.
Having pulled the lion, being on his back, he twists and goes back as if I were riding him, I try not to lose my balance.
Legoshi: Y/N! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!
Y/N: Saving your life!
Suddenly, the lion begins to whip his back against the wall and the decorative objects of the place, hitting me with them. And before I can regain my balance or grip his suit tighter, he grabs my shirt tightly and pulls me to the side.
Honestly, hitting the wall hurts more than the floor. I get up quickly, ready for another round, ignoring the pain again. Legoshi approaches me swiftly before I attack again.
Legoshi: I told you to stay with Gohin!
Y/N: Well if you want, I'll leave you fighting alone with this guy again!
Haru: WATCH OUT!!
We both turned to see the enraged boss directing his fist at us, I'm not sure who that blow was going for, so we both ended up pulling ourselves back to dodge it.
This means the discussion ended for me, focusing back on the lion, but Legoshi before fighting again answered me. As if he were a child who wants to have the final word.
Legoshi: Protect Haru!
It is then that I turn to see Haru behind me, who now looks like a scared bunny shaking on the ground.
Suddenly, I hear a croaky voice that can only be from the lion chief, so I look back at him.
Chief: I'm astonished by your attitude small one, you have a strong character.
Seeing he says this looking into my eyes as if he were trying to intimidate me, even though he terrifies me, I show my fangs growling. Until I see Legoshi, who stands in front of me and the boss, straight without stooping like he usually does.
The chief smiles weakly, that if it weren't for the blood he has spilling on his muzzle, it would seem like a friendly smile. My fur bristles at the sight of it.
Chief: She's another worthy prey for me, so I'll take care of her later..
Does he see me as a prey? I guess the top gangsters see everyone as such. I'm not so scared by what he says until Haru makes a shaky gasp upon hearing this. I don't turn to see her since I'm looking at the lion.
Chief: For now, I'll take care of this boy!
Suddenly, the lion chief attacked Legoshi, so quickly that I couldn't process it until he was on the ground with a scratch on the side of his stomach and the chief was on top of him trying to bite his neck.
Haru: LEGOSHI!
Everything goes into slow motion again, Legoshi growling and grunting as he does his best to keep the lion's fangs from reaching his neck.
