Can I - Tedy
____________
Today is the day of the funeral.
Everyone knew it was today, but no one spoke of it.
Almost as though it was banished word.
Iodine made Taehyung and Jimin swear to not let Yeosang and Jungkook back to Busan for it but it seems as though they didn't want to go back. Yeosang still hasn't moved from his room but today he at least took a shower and ate a granola bar from the kitchen, which is a lot of progress, before going back to his room and laying down, still not speaking to anyone.
And he avoided looking at Taehyung the whole time.
Jungkook has spent most of his time in his room. Today they didn't have classes so he didn't have a reason to go outside. He's been drawing more and more in his room, dressed in all black with a stone cold gaze in his eyes in complete concentration.
It's almost as though his conscious knows what today is, yet he doesn't want to accept it.
No one does.
Taehyung and Jimin have decided to give the brothers more space today than usual, knowing they're probably going to need it since they practically have been breathing down their neck, yet this only made Yeosang feel even more lonely.
He likes having Jimin around, even if he doesn't say anything. The other male seems to always make things feel lighter, just with his stories or his presence alone.
Yeosang doesn't like being away from Jimin, especially since he feels as though he still needs to protect him. Now more than ever after the news with Woosung.
He has to try something at least.
So that's why when Jimin did his round to check up on him, Yeosang just yanked him to the bed by the arm and held him in his arms tightly, refusing to let him go.
This is the first time he has touched Jimin back, and Jimin wanted to cry by how relieved he felt.
Yeosang is still there, and he's not going to leave him for sure.
Meanwhile Jungkook seemed to only drown his mind on drawing, before crumbling it to wrinkled balls and throwing it aside to the ground.
Segas.
He would draw so many of the Segas symbols all over the pages in scratchy pencil drawings, and he couldn't stop.
His anger is piling up, now boiling him to complete aggravation as it fuels him with guilt.
Guilt for what? He doesn't know.
Woosung wasn't killed, but a small part of him, the part he always rejects back because he doesn't want to accept it, feels the guilt to be here instead and not see Woosung back home for the last time.
But Woosung isn't dead so he has not reason to feel this way.
H-He's not fucking dead!
"Fuck!"
Jungkook throws another snake symbol to the ground, scratching his head anxiously as he feels himself growing more and more insane inside these four walls around him.
Woosung isn't dead.
Segas didn't kill him.
They didn't kill his Woosung.
They didn't take his anchor and yank him from life of this Earth.
Woosung promised..... He promised he would try to survive.
This isn't real.
Woosung would never leave his Bambi....
Jungkook's watery eyes slowly moves to his phone, that's lays right beside him, just mocking at him.
It's been so long since Jungkook has been dodging the voice mail.
Why is he so scared?
If he isn't dead than why doesn't he hear it?
Jungkook tears his eyes away from his, gritting his teeth to the little voice speaking inside his head. It's been so long since Jungkook heard his voice, and all he hears is their fight.
All he sees is Woosung's teary eyes staring back at him, begging him to not push him away.
To still be his Bambi.
And Jungkook pushed him away.
The person who stood by his side since the day they met, for six years now, and look at how easily it was to divide them.
It's his fault.
It's his fault Woosung isn't answering.
It's his fault that they're not speaking.
I-It's his fault.......
It's his fault.
Maybe he needs that reminder with the voicemail, how a fucked up person he is.
Just to hear what he has to say.
There's nothing to be afraid of if he's still alive right?
So with a hesitant hand, Jungkook takes his phone and shakily unlocks it, going to his voicemail inbox.
There it is.
Right there.
The first one, unopened.
Woosung's name in bold.
If he's right then there's nothing to worry about. This isn't Woosung's last words to him before he was brutally beaten and stabbed to death. This isn't his farewells from the world with the last thought being of his precious Bambi, who couldn't save him like how he's saved him.
Jungkook's throat squeezes, gripping the phone so tightly that it could've shattered in his grip.
He just wants to hear his voice since he's not answering.
Just his voice again.
J-Just for a little while.
So Jungkook takes a deep breath and takes the phone to his hear, pressing on the play button.
