Today is not a day of celebrating.

Well, not through Taehyung's eyes.

There's nothing special of the day he took his first gasp of air into life or about how his mother cradled his small body in her arms, pouring adoring words to her precious new born while his father cries with tears of joy from beside her to his new son.

There's nothing special when he perked his baby eyes open to see his loving family, smiling giddily to the beautiful human beings in front of him.

No, there's nothing special of the anniversary of that day.

There's nothing special about his birthday.

He was given life to a world he didn't want to live in. It's almost as though this was his last bet. Maybe he misbehaved horrible for his other life and this is punishment for that. Perhaps in another life he could be just a regular college student, continue on with studies that he actually likes and feel happy while doing it.

Even if he's having a taste of that life he desired, his past will always drag him back to his roots.

But now, in this current life, death sounds real nice right now.

This is the life he doesn't want to live in, and now he just has to suck it up and deal with it because he has no other choice.

Especially if he's in front of his family.

"You're 22 today," Mother states, eating the food the she set up on the table, most specifically the salad, "A year away from graduating."

Right.... Graduating...

This nerved an anxious string in Taehyung's body, nodding respectively towards her statement, "Yes mother, that's right."

Hwanwoong glances up at him from across the dinner table, chewing on his food with his mouth closed as he listens to the conversation.

Mother hates it when they chew with their mouth of open.

"Have you decided what you want to do yet?" Mother says calmly, her sharp eyes looking over at him while patting a hand over her hair, that's up in a pretty made design, suiting well her thin face.

It took a moment for Taehyung to sink in what she was actually asking, letting out a heavy sigh and staring down at the food, now having no appetite for it, "Mother, I already stated my part," And he somehow gained the courage to look up at her, "I want no part of the business, at all. I just want to be a regular kid. That's why I moved to Seoul in the first place."

He knew he outspoke a bit too much but he was not about to stay silent about this anymore. It's his future. His life. If he's going to be living in it, mind as well do something he genuinely enjoys doing and not something just for the sake of others.

He wants no part of her business, or their family business.

Most definitely after realizing that...... Jungkook's family is their enemy.

It was so quick that Taehyung made this decision after doing some more investigation himself, towards the end deciding he wants no part of it because he wants Jungkook to still be in his life.

Taehyung would do anything to keep him in it, even if it means breaking tradition with a business he doesn't even want to pursuit. He knows that Jungkook would never accept this and he will most definitely push himself away from him, and Taehyung can't have that.

Since the day they met, Jungkook has been the only constant in his life. An anchor, a mirror, and he doesn't want to lose that at all.

His bunny will be safe, no matter what.
