56: Numb

They say that once you die, you have either three options; Go to Heaven, Hell, or no where.

Once the soul leaves the body, who knows where it can end up in. Maybe there's no soul that exists at all, there's only just the body and you end up just in a state of complete blankness.

Just stop existing.

What about for those who are still alive?

Those who have died inside but still breathe another day? Are they living in their own personal afterlife?

Jungkook began to believe that he was actually dead. Nothing around him feels real anymore, let alone does he feel himself even breathing and had to check his pulses if they're still running.

Sadly, he's still alive yet he's completely dead.

It's been a week since the fight with Taehyung and Jungkook has became an unstable mess. He has became more harsher to his brother, ordering him to behave even if Yeosang wasn't even doing anything wrong. He would call Lisa every day, having a mental breakdown on how much he trying for her and Yeosang, reminding her that he didn't abandon her. He's been stuck in his room all day, every day, wishing those words would stop striking his head so brutally.

Jungkook has overheard from Jimin and Yeosang that Taehyung has been getting more serious with Yoongi, and has reached the next level in their relationship which is sex. There's many multiple upon multiple occasions where Jungkook, mostly Jimin, has had to stop Yeosang from leaving the room to actually hurt Taehyung since he heard everything he said to Jungkook.

Jimin had to literally sleep beside him on the couch just to make sure he wouldn't sneak off in the middle of the night, but he didn't. He didn't want Jimin to go through that trouble for him, so he started to calm down.

To say that the news  about Yoongi and Taehyung's relationship blossoming tore Jungkook apart would be an understatement.

It completely killed him.

Assassinated his heart, tore his soul to pieces, even burned his mind with nothing but regret for ever letting Taehyung into his life.

But he's done crying now. He's done being so angry.

Now he's just left feeling numb.

How empty it feels to be numb.

One morning though was different than his usual ones. Usually Yeosang would check up on him around noon but not so early, and this was actually quite odd.

A soft knock hit his door, such a difference from the usual barging in his brother would do.

It's definitely not Taehyung either because they have their own special knock already.

After a numb hum, wanting to get the over with already, the door creeks open. Jungkook moves his eyes from the wall and to the door, revealing someone who instantly made his heart drop to his knees. He instantly perks his head up from his pillow, rubbing his eyes to see if he was dreaming but he wasn't.

And a quivering smile forms his lips when those familiar eyes meets his.

"Heard your heart is a little broken, want to talk about it, Bambi?"
