Staring at the human before me, his green beautiful eyes opened wide in fright at my words. The hand on his neck tightened its grip as he shook his head.
"Do you still not believe me?" Pushing my weakened form up to sit, I gaze at the male.
"Vampires do not exist." He whispered quietly.
"No?" Shaking my head I sighed. "Then how the fuck can I do this?" Raising my hand up, I squeeze it tightly into a fist. Suddenly soft light sparks shot from my grasp, as I watched Erin take a step back away from me.
"How the hell did you do that!" He gasps in fear. Suddenly I saw the fear he didn't hold before, flooding back to him. Not only did I see it on his face and his shaking form, but I could sense it on him. "Stay the hell away from me!" He whispered, as my heart only aches to see how truly afraid he is now of me. "I will allow you to stay down here until nightfall, then I want you gone for good."
I stare at the sparks emitting from my own hand, as I drop the fist and speak quietly. "If that is what you want Erin. Then I will never come near you ever again, I only just ask that you promise to never tell anything human about me."
He shook his head quickly. "No one would believe me, even if I did."
Oh how very wrong he was. "Trust me, some would believe you. It would only put your life in danger, so do not tell anyone. As soon as night falls, I will disappear forever." My eyes go down to the burns on my hand. They were still hot and burning my flesh, my legs were worse, as they got more exposure on the walk down to this basement.
"Deal." He whispered quietly, only to turn his back onto me as he ran back up the stairs and shut the door.
"Fuck." Groaning out, my weak body collapses to once more lay back down. This frightened handsome human, he is my mate. Once any vampire finally finds their one true mate, it is impossible to separate them.
A bond is formed between both parties, then once that bond is created, there is no turning back. It is a simple ritual of the mating bond that must be performed between the two destined lovers. First the vampire must drink the blood of their mate, only in return their mate must willingly drink the vampires blood. For a human mate, this would turn them immortal in a way, to allow them eternity to live with their vampire.
Though not every mate accepts this mating bond, and to be discarded by the only one you will love. "Will he accept me in time?"
...
Unaware of how much time has passed, I soon heard what sounded like the door at the top of the stairs open. Pushing myself up to stand on my feet, I hiss in pain from the still burning skin on my form. Slowly I climb the stairs, only to see no one at the top of them. Glancing at the nearest window, I saw indeed the sunless sky as the light faded behind the mountain.
Letting a deep heavy sigh escape my lips, I walked towards the main entrance of his home. Exiting the building, I walked down his driveway only to pause feeling a gaze upon me. Turning my head, I stared into Erin's bright green eyes, as he stood in his bedroom looking out the window. My heart pounded, I wanted nothing more than to run back to him. To just be near him.
Though instead I broke our gaze. Turning my back on his home and him, I weakly walked back to the safety of the forest.
...
Walking along the trees, I was growing weaker from the pain emitting from the burns. I passed many humans in the town that I could have grabbed and fed off of. Though in truth, I only craved Erin's blood now. I didn't want the taste of other humans, no I wanted to feed only off of my mate.
