Propping my naked body up on my elbow, my eyes gaze down at Erin's naked form beside me. He must have felt my gaze upon him, as his green eyes slowly opened up.
"Drake? What's wrong?" His voice was a soft whisper in it's own way.
My eyes stared at the amulet, hanging against his chest. Reaching my hand out, I trace my finger along the deep, blood red gem.
"It's a..."
"Blood gem, I know." Shock showed in Erin's eyes. "I need to know Erin. How did you come to possess this?"
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" He smiled as he slowly sat up. He winced faintly from our previous activities, as he reached behind his neck and unclasped the chain. "It's an ancient family heirloom in my family, that has been passed down to every first born for generations. It last belonged to my mother, and now it's mine."
"That's impossible. This can not be from your Family Erin." Shaking my head, my black hair fell before my face.
"Why Drake?" Eren asked, as he gazed intently into the gem.
"What do you know of this amulet?"
"Not much really, Mom never told me about it. She wouldn't let me see it as a child. So all I know about it, is what the antique shop owner told me."
My body instantly stiffened up. "Please tell me, you did not show this to anyone else." My heart pounded as Erin looked into my eyes nervously.
"Was it wrong to?" He whispered weakly. Gazing at my human mate, I saw him bite at his lower lip nervously. Only for him to gaze once more at the gem in his hands. "I took it to the antique shop, to find this chain. Because I..."
He blushed and kept his eyes on the amulet. "Because what Erin?"
"Because I wanted to ask you to wear it for me." He mumbled quietly, yet I heard each word clearly. "When I first found it, I was taken instantly with it's beauty. But then I pictured you wearing it around your neck." He raised his gaze to mine. "Will you Drake? Will you wear this for me?"
I knew as long as Erin carried this amulet with him, his life was in danger. How he got it though, I can't even begin to imagine. His parents were humans. He is a human. There is no way this is from his ancestors.
"Drake, it would mean the world to me, to see you wearing it." His soft voice caught my ears, as I gazed at him.
My hand reached out and ran along his cheek gently. "Erin." Seeing such a small smile on his face made my heart race. "For you, I will wear it."
Instantly his smile grew bigger, as he reached his hands around my neck and clasped the chain. He kissed my lips gently, before pulling back to admire the amulet now against my chest. "I was right, it does look perfect on you Drake."
My hand raised to touch the gem I now wore, with my fingers. "This amulet is special to you, it was your mother's, yet you wish me to wear it." Cupping his face in my hands, I lean in close to him. "I will treasure it for eternity." Whispering I lean in more, and take his lips with mine in a kiss.
"Will I really get to spend eternity with you Drake?" He whispered after our kiss, as he pecked my lips once more.
"Did you truly mean it, when you drank my blood?" A soft pink blush creeped up on his face, as he nodded shyly. Grinning I raise my wrist to my lips. "Shall we double check the bonding worked?" Biting into my own wrist, blood now drips down it as Erin stares at the red on my skin.
His eyes flickered to mine, then back to my bleeding wrist. Watching his movements carefully. I watch with interest as he takes my wrist in his hands, and lowers his face towards it.
