Walking through the dark of the forest, I can't stop my hands from clenching into fists. How I want nothing more than to run off to him, how I was nothing more than to hold him. I want Erin Stone so badly. However with Hunters suddenly showing up now, he would be nothing but in danger if I were to be with him. I must keep him safe at all costs, even if that means not being with him.

"Damn it!" Growling out lowly I slam my one fist into a tree beside me. My breathing grows deep and shallow as I close my eyes trying to calm myself. However all I see is the image of his sparkling green eyes, his carefree smile, that shy blush creeping upon his cheeks. "Fuck."

Leaving him behind that night, was the hardest thing that I have ever done. I know there are only seven days left, until I will no longer be able to touch his soft smooth skin. I gave him the chance to bone with me that night, granted yes I did just spring it on him. But if he loved me, truly loved me. Then he would have done it then and there. But in those green eyes of his that I love, I saw the hesitation.

"He would be happier not bonded to a monster."

"It was a lot tougher to find you than I expected." Turning my crimson gaze, I see a smirking Blayze leaning against a tree with folded arms across his chest. "Regretting the choice you made of walking out on Erin for good?"

"Shut up." I growl annoyed, yet Blayze only seems to smirk more at my current suffering. "He will be happier without me around, he doesn't love me like I do him."

I watch a light flicker in the depths of Blayze's eyes, almost like he knew something he wasn't telling me. "You may be right, he would be happier. HE is not a vampire after all. He may be your destined mate, but given enough time he will fall in love with another."

"Are you trying to cheer me up?" My teeth clenched as I hissed out, glaring at my cousin.

"Just merely agreeing with you." He chucked deeply as he walked to me, placing his hand upon my shoulder. "However that isn't why I came to find you."

"Then why did you?" Growling in frustration at my cousin's tone mocking. "I am busy patrolling for Hunters."

"Leave the Hunters to me dear cousin, you need to return to the house now."

"Why? What happened?"

Blayze sighed as he blew some sandy blonde hair from his face. "Look, trust me on this, you need to go."

"Blayze?" I stared at him in confusion.

"Damn it Drake. Just go!" He suddenly yelled as he shoved me roughly. "I will patrol the rest of the night. Besides since you left him that night, you hardly ever rest anymore. Relax tonight Drake, go to the haven and lay down for awhile." I saw yet another spark flicker in his sadistic eyes.

"What are you up to?"

Blayze grinned as he looked at me. "Me? Nothing, nothing at all." He waved his hand off. "Just go rest for damn sake. Drake we will need your power the most when it comes to the Hunters. If you are half asleep when that time comes, you are of no use to us."

"Fine, you're right." Sighing, I push my hand through my black hair. "If you see anything though, tell me right away."

"Yah, yah. Got it." He grinned as he smirked at me, and walked off. "Go get a good hell of a rest!" He called out only to snicker as his form disappeared into the darkness.

"He is right, rest would be a smart idea. Regain some of my energy." Walking the opposite direction Blayze left in, I make my way back towards the log home we live in. After all, my powers lately have been all over the place. Since leaving Erin, I can't seem to keep them in control anymore. If the Hunter did indeed attack us today, I would be fully useless in protecting my family.
