Erin stood before me, while I kissed his hand gently. Thankfully there was no sign of permanent damage, from my power on his skin.
"I am your mate Drake, I know you never meant to harm me, and never wish to again." His voice was a soft whisper.
Raising his hand once more, I kiss it again softly. "But I hurt you, I promised you I would never harm you." Watching as his face blushed a deep sigh escaped my lips. "You don't understand Erin, my power, it can kill you. It could have left a damaging mark on your skin, if you got hit with a higher voltage."
"I forgive you Drake." His gentle voice, helping to calm my mind and thoughts.
"The sun has set by now, did you want me to lead you home?" My voice was quiet as I stared only at his hand. Unable to bring myself to look at his face, I didn't want him to leave just yet. But if that was my mates wish, then I would take him back to his human home.
Feeling a softness on my cheek, raising my gaze I saw Erin smiling softly at me, his hand gently upon my face. "May I stay here a little longer?" Did these words ever make his cheeks tinge a soft pink. "I want to learn more about you Drake, about your life, even about your family. If you will let me."
"Erin, I will tell you anything you wish to know." It made me happy, to know he wanted to willingly stay here in my presence.
"Oh and before I forget, thank you for the clean clothes." He looked down at his form and laughed softly.
My eyes followed suit, and traveled down his form. "They are slightly big on you, aren't they." A chuckle of my own escapes my lips. "They belong to Xavier too, he is the smallest out of my family. I figured this would fit you the best."
"Which one is he?" Erin asked, as he sat down upon my bed next to me. Our hands are still holding each other tightly together.
"Xavier is my youngest cousin, he is the redhead."
Erin nods his head, as a quiet whisper escapes his lips. "And I guess I know who Blayze is." From sitting next to him, I noticed a shiver course through his form.
What Erin went through in the forest before I got to him, would scare any human. Blayze finds pure pleasure in hunting them down like that. Tormenting them. "Erin, he truly feels sorry about what he did. If he knew who you were." My voice trailed off, as my free hand ran through my pitch black hair. "Blayze will never forgive himself for what he did to you Erin. This fatal mistake he almost made, it will haunt him forever."
"You two seem to be very close."
"I am close to every one of my cousins, Blayze is just a different story."
"How so?" Erin asks in curiosity.
The memory hits my mind, as I think back on the past. "It was many years ago, it was the day he lost his parents. Hunters attacked us, and his parents didn't make it. Xavier was still a young child in ways, he doesn't even remember this attack. He, unlike his older brother, doesn't remember their parents." Pausing for a moment, I parted my lips as I continued telling the story.
"Blayze won't ever say it out loud, but the thing he loves most in this world is his younger brother. It is all he has left of his family, besides us cousins. Anyways, the night his parents were killed and turned to ash. Blayze tried to protect his brother. His fire power back then wasn't as strong as it is now. If I didn't get to him in time, they both would have been killed."
Erin listened intently. "So you saved them? Both Blayze and Xavier?"
Nodding my head to his question, another sigh leaves me. "Yes, though my powers too weren't as strong. We were all considered just children to our elders. But since I saved him, Blayze has looked at me differently. To be honest I don't think it was the fact I saved him that he cares about."
