......................................

It all started one stormy night nearly 5000 years ago.

The night sky shone red and orange, as the screams of many rang out in the dead of the night. The tiny village of Havenbrook burned deep into the dead of the night. The screams of children could be heard as their mothers ran with them in their arms. The men of the village tried their best to put out the fires. But it was no avail.

As morning crept around the corner, Havenbrook was nothing more than a pile of rock and ashes. Burned bodies and corpses of men, women and the children were scattered throughout the streets. Not a single soul survived the manslaughter.

Except for one.

This man went from town to town telling horror stories of the red eyed monsters, who dwell deep within the forests and mountain caves.

He told his story with fear in his heart. Trapped in the burning village only to watch the monsters bite into the necks of the townsfolk, and drain them of their blood. Laying beneath the bodies of the fallen dead, was the only way for him to survive. The only way the monsters would not be able to smell his fresh blood, that still pumped through his veins.

Fear and Panic spread throughout the land, as more and more villages suffered the same fate as Havenbrook. These monsters soon got the title of the Blood Suckers.

One day a man wearing a dark leather trench coat, and a hat over his head which covered his eyes in shadows showed up in the villages. He showed them how to protect themselves. He told them he had dealings with these Blood Suckers ,as the locals call them in his past and he alone survived. However he was too late to save his wife and son. He told them how the Blood Suckers only come out at night. In the daylight they are safe to live their normal daily lives, as the sun burns their bodies to a pile of ash and bone. He learned that the smell of garlic hurts their senses, and to hang cloves of them on their front doors. Lastly, always carry a bottle of holy water on you. For if you did find yourself in their deadly grasp, the water will burn their skin to ash.

The villagers cried tears of thanks to this stranger. They asked for his name, to tell all others they knew about him.

He simply smiled and nodded his head saying his name was Helsing, and that he was the first of many to come. He himself was the beginning of a new type of human, a savior to the world. That he was the first Vampire Hunter.
